2nd stimulus check-> Rider Support?

Edited Date/Time 1/5/2021 7:59am
Just got the 2nd stimulus check. I am beyond blessed and fortunate to have a job I love, and not have had any financial hardship over this pandemic. Having just received this money, and truly not needing it to pay my bills, are there any privateers or riders anyone can think of that I might be able to donate to? Not saying I will give any single rider the whole lump sum, but would like to try and donate where I can. Any suggestions?

Thank you for the suggestion of rider. Any contact info? Or should I just look him up online? I don't have social media.

I do appreciate the well wishes my friend. Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you, right?

I can appreciate your take. However, I have a savings account with an emergency fund. And life is about giving to others with no expectation of repayment because it's whats right towards your fellow man. Life should be more about others than ourselves. Selfishness is the enemy of a well lived life.

PM received and replied to. I know how the Vital PM system works, or doesn't. Thanks!

I run a phone repair shop. One day this guy comes in with a small blackboard puts in on my counter and starts writing his situation down. He could not talk and this was his only way of communicating. His phone had stopped as the sim had been blocked so I called his provider and I had all his I’d credentials to verify him but it was not that simple it took me almost 3 hours to get it all sorted and when he asked what he owed me I said not a cent.....
The next customer asked why I did not charge him at least $5 I said that the man could not help himself so it was my honor to do so, and if I’d taken $5 it would most likely be the only $5 I’d make all day as Iits bad karma to take advantage of situations like that...
I had a record day in business that day just by doing something with no expectations.
I love doing little things for free all the time at work and you’d be surprised I’ve had random people bring me coffee, lotto tickets, scratcher tickets, owed money out of the blue, even full case of beer or two over the years.
Random act of kindness goes a very long way.

Justin Starling seems like a super nice guy trying out his own program this year. It’s great that you’re doing this!

why not donate it to your local favorite restaurant - Not sure about your town but out here people are getting crushed right now

Fair suggestion. I don't eat out a lot but have been trying to do it more frequently here lately. Was just trying to assist my favorite sport/ industry and it's participants, who sacrifice their well-being for my entertainment.

What you do for yourself will get you by.

What you do for others will get you ahead.

Listen to an old guy, save it.
Put it in the bank, bury it in a can in the yard.

Things can change fast. Jobs change. Industry grows and then falls.
You can't predict tomorrow right now, much less in six months.

Protect yourself.

Appreciate the guidance and sincerity, but I can't heed that advice. I want to help others out. I've done so and will continue to.

Not sure how old you are but someone gets it. If we had more people like you this country would be better off.

Theres plenty of kids in the cancer ward at your local hospital who could use it. Maybe some toys to cheer them up a bit?

I know how good you will feel helping someone out. I also know what it feels to have someone help you. My family usually helps out people without thinking about it. Unfortunately in September I had a mishap racing. Things went bad at first. I spent 8 days in ICU and a total of 12 in the hospital. While in the hospital friends, locals from my community and business people i deal with started telling my wife that once i get out they where going to have a car show for me to collect money to help her pay bills. Once I understood what was happening I told her no. I felt so bad people thought I needed help to pay for something I caused with my hobby. She finally explained that I have done this for others and it is people showing me how much they appreciate this.
Just seeing those people on that day was great for me. It helped me recover quicker. Helping anyone will feel great for you!

I have the same mentality and know what you mean. By not allowing people to help you, your denying them the same fulfillment you get from helping others. Sometimes we have to put our pride down and allow someone to be a blessing to us. For our good, and theirs.
