Seems like their must be some sort of design flaw in the silencer. Sort of like the broken mounting tabs on the KX 450

My bars will be here this week...whats everybody doing with the hydraulic clutch cable(tube)? Just run it or go in front of the bars, behind the front plate?

I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure that's a spark arrestor.
They're a required by the forest service to ride trails here in Oregon.

Any idea if the yoshimura ti or stainless muffler has thicker material than stock?

I’ve had great luck with yoshimura exhausts over the years, never dented or broken one.

KTM comes with them too. My buddy’s 21 350 burned a hole in the screen in under 10 hours. I’m wondering if it helps pass sound since these exhaust are not USFS approved.

everybody dents a paper thin honda muffler = no big deal

Tell me how many did not finish a race on a kx450 because of a broken mount on a stock muffler.

Then, tell me how many crushed honda mufflers we have seen in the last month.

Surely there must be hundreds of pictures of broken kawasaki mounts you can show us with 10,000+ bikes out there.

ARAY runs stock cans? How many crashes did he have on that sub-frame before it broke? How many guys riding stock KX's as hard as that guy?

They only break with solid mounted mufflers. Leave it stock or rubber mount the aftermarket pipes and they’re fine

I have no idea how many mounts break for the KX, do you? No you dont.

My point is......I would rather a dent than a broken mount no matter how rare it might or might not be for the KX...how hard is that to understand??????

Looks pretty standard. I'd imagine leaving it as is to avoid rubbing the line or it getting kinked at some point.

on this re-route.. did you add one of those applied racing breather valves to the hose and run it down in front of the linkage? Or is the end of your tube open?

I ended up making my on breather end cap and utilized the oe line. Works great, I did the same thing on my 2019

I couldn’t stand having that garden hose draped over the bars. I’d have to invest in a braided line and re-route. Seems kinda lazy on Honda’s part to route it that way.

it is strange the clutch hose is routed that way, most bikes with hydraulic clutch have a hose that is routed under the bar pad. If I owned a 2021 CRF I would do that myself, not a difficult job. Then again it would only be for aesthetic reasons, it isnt that bigger deal.

Bored out the stock triples today and installed my Showa AKit forks. Also good news is my dubya wheels from my 19 swapped over along with a couple other parts. First race on the bike tomorrow.

Bored out the stock triples today and installed my Showa AKit forks. Also good news is my dubya wheels from my 19 swapped over along with a couple other parts. First race on the bike tomorrow.

I've been wanting to get a set of T-clamps bored to fit A-kit forks...but no one wants to touch them. Liability, they say! Who did you have do yours? Any others that someone could point me to in San Diego/ LA ? Thanks all!
