Nice team though. Jonass can get some podium/race wins and bogers could step up to be a regular top 10 guy with some flashes of brilliance

Coldenhoff to Wilvo Factory Yamaha announced soon?
GasGas IG post states Coldenhoff choose to leave GasGas for the 'long term', so I guess he signed a multi-year contract

I know, he has been impressive. But next year a lot of top contenders will be back. Hopefully he can keep improving with the new Dutch/belgium based team

What does this say about the MXGP world? Desalle and Paulin retired at the end of this season.

Not enough rides? Or not enough money in the sport?

Both guys still proved they can podium or even win. Looked to me they still could race one or 2 seasons..

Desalle already showed interest into AMA Outdoors en Paulin hinting at riders buying spot in the MXGP Class instead of getting paid...

IMO it shows that an age rule to move up is not a healthy rule.

Yeah Desalle and Paulin deserve factory rides over many, but when less talented riders are forced to move up and they bring money to a team, who are they going to pick? Like Paulin alluded in his Racer X interview.. its sad when riders not even getting paid are pushing out established riders.

I agree with you with that age rule, same with the back to back MX2 title force you up into the MXGP class. A rider should be able to make his own choice if he wants to ride the 250 or 450 class. This is killing allot of careers.

On one side i get they choose the money rider.. But on the other side if those big teams still need a rider who brings money, how healthy is the sport/ that team.

It’s either you are one off the top dogs or you bring a bag of cash otherwise you’re GP career is in doubt verry quick.

It’s a sad thing honestly. Paulin mentioned some riders earning less then mechanics, and that job isn’t paid great either. (If you compare the amount of hours with the salary)

Yeah, I dont like to have a negative viewpoint but it sure doesn't look good when top riders that are still capable of winning aren't getting rides.

Yeah i agree with this on the age rule. This ruld hurts the riderswho are better then mx2 riders but not goid enough to be a consistent top 5 rider in mxgp. Imo guys ike Anstie, Paulin and van Horebeek should have a factory ride with decent money in mx2, over riding for a privateer team or moving to the us.

What happened here, i thought Coldenhoff to Yamaha was a sure thing a long time ago? Didn't they have the contracts signed and when Desalle retired Kawasaki took the opportunity to approach Coldenhoff?

After the retirement of Desalle that indeed could be a good deal as well!

Seewer with Watson is pretty thin team without Coldenhoff. Was thinking Yamaha deal was done as he left GasGas.

I would still lean towards Coldenhoff going to Yamaha. But i guess we'll see once the press release drops!

No way. Team KRT has not enough money to bring Coldenhoff alongside Febvre.

Yep. Considering that the educated guess why Desalle is retiring is that they wont pay him enough. No way that they then would pay what Coldenhoff would want (probably something similar to what Desalle wants).

I read some where KRT might only run Febvre because of tight budget. Hopefully not true

I can't see them only running Febvre. There has to be a decent rider out there that can bring a sponsor with them..

Like you say, only going with Febvre in 2021 would be a disaster and a horrible look.

The factory teams must have 2 riders, now we have 2 seats to fill at the top and only Coldenhoff and Tonus whobare factory guys with no ride.
11/1/2020 12:38pm Edited Date/Time 11/1/2020 12:39pm
Tonus would make sense : same gear sponsor, same Energy Drink sponsor, same language than the team, and some connection with french people...
But if we talk about results, especially this year, it wouldnt be too easy...
