Is it confirmed that Masterpool doesn't want to race sx again in 2021? I've seen so many people say he's not racing it because his family doesn't want him to but nothing official. And if that is the case shouldn't he be shopping for a GP ride?

Not exactly a great time to be making the jump to Europe.

If the family is ok with him being one of the only 2-3 people jumping the Leap on a 250f you think they would be fine with SX (yes I know the history)

Some more insight from close to the family would be helpful and can probably clear some things up. Meaning that it doesn't make sense that you would allow your kids ride motocross and even allow them to chase their pro motocross dream (even after the fatal accident from their other son). In order to than put your foot on the brake and say to your kid, who landed a factory ride at Yamaha, "No you won't race supercross".

So more insight would be helpful, because the kid lost now his factory Yamaha ride and what will be happening? Are they chasing a motocross only career, what would be nuts because the money isn't in the outdoors in the USA. Or is he going to leave America to chase a motocross only career in the MXGP-series?

Which Masterpool? Jake or Ty?

Yep. Gonna develop and not stress about supercross. Imagine how fast out guys would be if that was case.

I was at their place last weekend but didn't ask too much. As much as I want to know what is going on, I don't want to be nosey either.
What I did notice though is that both of their SX tracks are grown over and untouched. If either Jake or Ty were racing SX in 2021, I would think they would have started rebuilding them by now.
From what I was told, it sounded like Ty was pretty pissed about getting dropped and he will be gunning to beat them. Also that everything for Ty is still up in the air for 2021.
They are traveling to Cali this week, so maybe it's to test a bike or work out a deal. Or it could just be a family trip before SX prep starts up. Don't really know, but I'm hoping they are going to test a bike and/or sign a deal with someone.

Id love nothing more than to see all riders go sx or mx only. Both sports would benefit. Be better for privateers also.

Is there an issue with being curious about his future racing plans? Did I insult him or come off negative in any way? No. I'm a fan and I'm sick of know it all's on FB talking like they know the kid or his family. I know the guys on this board bleed moto so I thought I might get an answer here. That ok with you?

I would love that. It would be great to see a young fast US prospect go to the GP's.

It would indeed be nice to see those early '90 times relive with fast US kids racing GP's.

Their's.

Nothing wrong with a fan hoping to figure out how they can watch and support their rider next year.

I'm with you on this. Yes, who are we to question their decisions regarding his career but it doesn't make sense in my mind to only do pro MX and not SX because of safety reasons. News flash, MX is freaking dangerous.

Although maybe it doesn't need to make sense, it's their decision. If this is the case, why isn't he heading to the GPs asap? I haven't read/heard a single rumor about that happening.

If i get to be a bit selfish, i would love to see him go the GP route.

Ty Masterpool is of age now. I’m sure that if he wanted to race Supercross, he’d be doing it now no matter what his parents’ opinions on the sport. I wish him the best if he continues to pursue a motocross only career. He certainly has skill.

I mean I do agree to an extent it is a dangerous sport. At the same time his brother was killed racing and that adds a whole different aspect to it. Maybe for them the risk of supercross (potentially life changing/ending injuries) just aren't worth the risk to him or his family at this time. I definitely understand the situation.

Would be cool if Pro Circuit signed him seems like they have trouble with guys being healthy for outdoors.

I think it’s absolutely insane that Star dropped him and no one (yet) on a top caliber team has swooped him up. Good chance one of the Star boys will be hurt for outdoors anyway so maybe that will an open a door back up for him there.

I know he was not on the team roster announcement, but on social media he was still riding a star yamaha and the team thor gear.

I think supercross means more than MX does to the teams, MX only rides are very hard to come by
