IIRC, when mcadoo made him fall, he didn't complain and even said that its racing and mcadoo rode great, he was fighting for a championship !so don't say Dylan whines.
And if you still hate him for the Craig move you have to hate Craig aswell, remember his move on Alex Martin few years ago?...

I have no problem with a rider setting someone up and then bumping them to get past. I have no problem with someone going out of their way to hold position. But what Ferrandis does is to basically run it in and hope it works without much of an exit strategy, which seems to leave him and whoever he hits on the ground. He has amazing speed but his racecraft needs some work- those are the kind of pass attempts I expect to see from a first year pro, not a seasoned championship contender.
A lot of comparisons to Barcia, but in general you don't see Barcia on the ground after his run-ins.
So how many times has DF14 run it in on another rider and ended up on the ground? I can remember Craig and yesterday. How many others were there?

In my opinion, if a guy is coming up on you that is way faster (and you know is way faster) and you engage in riding defensive to try to hold him up and block his lines then you forfeit your right to bitch when he moves you out of the way or you both get parked. I would think a smart move to make would be to just let the dude go by and try to latch onto the back of him and see what lines he's taking that's giving him a 1-2 second advantage. How many seconds faster was he than everyone else in qualifying? If that dude is on your ass with more than half the moto left, you're not going to keep him behind you so instead of blowing your wad trying to block and keep him behind you and risking a crash, let him go by and see what he's doing different, march up to the front with him and mount an attack late moto.

it's a race, not just qualifying laps. absolutely no reason to just move over because someone is faster

I get that, but if a guy is 3-4 seconds a lap faster in qualifying, clearly he's figured something out on the track worth learning. Do you think Jeremy would've finished better than 11th if he made the pass for Dylan easy and just latched on to him for a few laps to see what Dylan was doing different? I get it if it's the last couple laps of the race but with more than half the moto left, there's no way he was keeping him behind him so why risk getting cleaned out so early knowing Dylan doesn't wait around for passes to happen.
I don't think the pass was dirty, I think it was just misjudged and cost them both some points. Dylan was clearly faster and should have just set up a better pass in another section.

Their job is to get more points, not learn how to set a faster lap time from someone faster in the race. All i know is that if I was going for a title, the last thing I would do is let the guy in second in points (who is my main rival) past without a fight so I could latch on and hopefully learn without getting dropped.

Unfortunately when you’ve been know to do that sort of thing before the more it happens the more the stigma sticks I don’t thing he intended the one at red bud to be malice it was just desperation of trying to make something happen .

Do you think the man is battling for a championship and he is going to let his challenger passed him? How do you think his boss or the fans will feel about that?

C'mon Man.

I agree. It is an unwritten rule of racing that if you go for a pass and end up on the ground it's "bad on you".

I guess not many around here have ever heard the term "Kamikaze Pass". Now they know what one is...

That's how the dude rides and he won't change until the AMA takes action. Was he not on probation?

Ferrandis is giving us fans some of the best that Motocross can or has offered us in some years. Its awesome.

Would Hannah have gone for that sliver of light for the pass with championship points on the line, I'd like to think so.

I'm enjoying the H#*@ out of watching him. And Masterpool! Hope the kid keeps it up. The 250F's have been pure entertainment.

So far it has been the DF $h!t Show and JMart is putting on a clinic on how to win a championship.

I never saw Hannah do something that foolish on a bike FYI.

I agree about the great racing this year.

Are you kidding. I stood and watched Hannah stop, wait and T-bone people and loose races doing it.

Probably because people in DF's camp didn't want US fans that don't pay attention the the GPs to know he's been doing questionable stuff before he came to the US??

Sounds like he was trying to make a point. Not something as useless and destructive as what DF did IMHO.

Ferrandis is just very hell bent to win. That's a good thing. However, he gets a little too impatient once in a while and goes for a pass too early or when it's a bit sketchy, and shit goes wrong. Not a dirty rider. Just a little too impatient at times. How boring would the sport be though without riders who are hell bent on winning?

When you catch a slower rider and he starts blocking you, you move him out of the way one way or the other, it has always been so.

This starts to resemble every other thing nowadays where ppl screams unjustice everytime someone else is better at something.

I mean have you ever raced competive?
You cant stay behind a slower rider to be nice then you got nothing there to do end of story
Everyone posted above your post it was just a racing incident. You should read before lecture the masses.

He didn’t whine when Forkner punted him. He actually did the opposite if I recall. Dylan will never win with a lot of fans over here, but the dude deserves respect regardless. I tip my hat to the kid, coming here without knowing a lick of English and fighting for it. Dude has heart and I’m stoked he’s here to take it.
He’s straight up said on many, many occasions he understands that with the way he rides he expects other riders to ride him back the exact same way. The guy trying to claim he cries is a idiot.

This is such a non-issue......

Anyone who really sees what occurred as controversial must be hoping for individual timed speed runs (like downhill skiing) or subjective exhibitions like fmx.

Wow. I never realized that was Ferrandis.

Who wants to step up and say that was not a vinegar and water moment??
