100% scam. It was a lot like that in the car market in europe (on mobile.de particularly).

Send money to western union bla bla, a third company will ship what you buy bla bla, no possibility to meet the person at all. It is either mafia in estern europe (albania, etc) or nigeria (working in internet coffees etc).

You can also have this type of "smoking" deals in Latvia/Lithuania, but here it is for real, the only problem is that it is stolen, new numbers, etc, which is as bad legally as stolen and you can't sell the car once yourself or a garage find it out.

The scams are so much more common over the past 6 months it's crazy. I get text scams to my business phone , asking for me to do a large job. They want to pay 50% down , but need at my banking info. And then when the person arrives from out of country in 2 weeks , they will pay the rest , plus bonus.

I had a person send me that just 2 weeks ago. The day after they sent it , they asked me how the job was going , and really needed to pay me , and really needed all my banking info. Here is the weird thing , not once did that person even give me an address. Seriously....who falls for that shit?

People saying “meet her at......” “bring a friend” etc
Read the ad, “she” is saying the bike will be shipped.
It’s a well known scam all over the world.

If you don’t believe me, on a totally unrelated note, I have a shed full of about 100 mint old 2 strokes, Transfer $1000 to me via Western Union and I will ship you one.

If it’s too good to be true, it probably is.

My buddy just sold his SxS on marketplace. It's modified to the hilt. He listed all the mods and reiterated that it's ready to race...not for the faint of heart. Some dinkus, 2 hours away, calls and says he just wants a stock unit. My bud says, "sorry, I just sold all the stock stuff". The goober decides he'll take it any way. He shows up, pays asking price...3 hours later he calls saying it's too much machine. My bud told him that he'd detune it if he brought it back but the guy is waffling. Some people.

Funny, i got my yz 250fx 1 year old with about 10 hours on it this way. I suppose everyone thought it was fake. I did when i sent the reply. But did it anyway. But yes this one is fake.

I fooled around with a couple of those nitwits once that we’re dying and wanted to leave me a bunch of money. I told them I had the same issue, a deadly disease and unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to help them out as I had died last week. They missed the joke and continued talking to the dead guy.🤪
