This thread inspired me to go out and buy a used 2018 RMZ 450, but my mean ass Southeast Texas Wife kinda put a stop to it. She didn’t tell me I couldn’t go buy one, she just told if I did she cut my balls off, divorce me. She said it might be a good idea to ride the Red dirt bike thing I have and that Yamaha thing too.

Damn..... All these pages. Must be a complete shit bike, or the perfect bike that keeps people talking. And yet, still performs well on a National level, seems to be very affordable, durable, and the folks that build it don't mind to help you pay the bills to race it. Plenty of aftermarket goodies made for it, platform has more often than not proven rock solid, plus any idiot with a modicum of skills can perform basic care to said machine to keep it trucking hour after hour. Who in their right mind would ever consider owning such an inferior machine?

Oh, wait a sec..... You're gonna have to raise a leg off your lazy ass to start it. You give up a little, to get a little more in return. After all these pages, seems to my simple ass that Suzuki has hit a home run. All these positives their product seem to produce, yet it's so damn out of date, it shouldn't even be allowed to compete unless it's a vintage event. They have an amazing product on their hands, it's so good, it can easily surpass any product timeline. It fits all the guidelines, vintage, retro, modern, post modern, slow, fast, easy, aggressive..... this fucker can do it all! So what are they gonna change for next year???

In all reality, probably not much. And why should they? If they had a PR guy reading every thread based on this bike on here alone, they would probably tell the production folks " Don't change a thing, maybe a color on the graphics. As long as it still works, people keep talking about it keeping us relevant, this thing can be a cash cow." Yamaha did the same exact thing........
Man of the people. Cool

Can someone find me where to look for the mx-tuner 2.0 on the Suzuki site? The new ad for it says it can be purchased from there but I am not seeing it?

Weren’t you guys just trying to say the rmz actually has a great resale value, and now you’re proving they don’t and making that a good thing too? You guys are insane.

At least come with good troll claims. Ain't nooobody claiming resale value. But proportionally...... all the same, friend.

We have the “kyles” for the monster energy kawi stereotype, but can we make a new one for these die hard suzuki guys who’ll die by the Kickstarter and claim excuses to the yellow machine no matter how much it weighs and doesn’t change each year
Better re read what I wrote bro. I just stated what I sold my last 2 rmzs for. No where did I claim great resale also if you read it I kinda got about 1/2 what I paid new. No matter what you have there will come a point you will bottom out on a good clean 08 and newer 450 that # is prob around 3K. If that 18 was close to me I would have snagged it up. Cleaned it up a lil better and sold it for 4900.00 all day.

Of the 450 vet guys, how many are still running the stock shock??
None! are running the (stock) shock and Ill bet money none of the other bikes are (stock) shocks. Now are you talking the actual shock its self??? Answer prob all the 85s all the 250s and I will say 1/2 the 450s Since if you knew what your talking about you would know only the 450 has the BFCR shock. The BFCR shock is not that bad and workable with a revalve and longer link. Shit I had it figured out before 1/2 the testers. (thanks to Enzo) Soooo go gack to reading KTM action mag tests. This is an example folks of people who don't own one or race one putting in their 2cents.

With all the shit talking on the Suzuki’s, here are some current stats-

So there are 17 out of 36 classes that have at least one rider on a Suzuki.
* Only 10 classes have more than 1 rider on a Suzuki

Total of 46 riders.
3% of the total entries

6% of entries of the 17 classes they are entered in.

Out of 17 classes, 7 classes have only 1-rider and average position is 14th place
So being the only rider on the gate, here are the current positions-
4th, 6th, 10th, 11th, 22nd, 22nd, 24th

There is 3 classes with 2 riders
(Schoolboy 2 12-17) *9th, *20th
(85 12-13) *3, *35
(85 10-12) *1, *27
average position is 15th

There is one class with 3 riders
(Open pro sport) *3rd, 4th, 9th
average position is 5th

There is 3 classes with 4 riders
(Junior 25+) * 25th, 32nd, 33rd, 38th
(Vet 30+) * 2nd, 17th, 22nd, 33rd
(Sr Vet 45+) *3rd, 9th, 15th, 25th
average position is 21st

There are 2 classes with 5 riders
(Masters 50+) *1st, 2nd, 8th, 15th, 18th
(250 pro sport) *3rd, 4th, 21st, 24th, 30th
average position is 11th

There is 1 class with 7 riders
(senior 40+)
average position Is 20th

12 riders are sitting in top 4 positions
2- in 1st
2- in 2nd
5- in 3rd
3- in 4th

Average finishing position 14th for all Suzuki riders racing the ranch.

* note-
Out of 19 classes that don’t have a Suzuki entry, 9 of them are 50/ 65/125 classes
So to summarize for everyone...

46 yellow riders at Loretta's, which represents 3% of the total
12 yellow riders at Loretta's in the top 4 positions, which represents 2% of the total

Mathematically speaking, Suzuki is inferior to other bikes.

Reality of it is, over 25% of the zooks that showed up are top 4 placements. For such a small number of entries, that speaks more

Yup!

That was a good day and we all got plenty of laps in,

The boss from HRC, USA was riding that day. He was all smiles. A std CRF450R with a few, very few, well used parts on it. And he was railing.

For what it’s worth I just pulled the holeshot in the final 40+ moto at lorettas. Bone stock engine with FMF stainless pipe. The start straight was tilled about 2’ deep for our gate drop. I was one of about 7 Suzuki’s on the gate and vitals hero Kris Keefer was on the gate as well. Keefer did win the title so he’s definitely the real deal. I talked to Suzuki and definitely good things in the pipeline

This thread has to make it to the HOF. 17 pages of pure gold. Thank you for all the gullible Suzuki diehards who took the bait......Hook, line, and sinker. Here is hoping it can get to 20 pages.
