Well on the pipes, there all good, it comes down to preference really. On the engine I’m building the pipes was designed by Honda , not PC. But PC built them. Well the non cone pipes for the bikes. Honda actually build the cone pipes even though they have a PC badge on them.

That did turn out nice. Did they do a candy or metallic or ? Do you happen to know if 1, 2 or 3 stage?

I did not really ask how they do it. Sorry, the next time I’m over at the place I’ll ask how many stages

Generally that is a 3-stage process with a red candy color like that.
1st stage - basecoat
2nd stage - midcoat (candy color)
3rd stage - clearcoat

I think it might have been on a Larocco bike!

That would make sense since I have seen the Factory Connection Honda's use the brownish anodized suspension parts before, but not the HRC Honda's. Looks nice though!

Well I really don’t remember but some how I met Neil Prince., and some how we became pretty good buddy’s. So he was basically Team Honda Europe up to the end of 2009. He races for Honda alway back to 2000 On works bikes, so he had a ridiculous amount of works parts . Which I pretty much took everything he had from 2000-2009. On top of that I met allot of different people over the year and seemed to be finding allot of stuff. When I first started doing this, there were not allot of other people doing it, so the prices were really good on buying parts for the most part. But it seem everyone found out that these parts are out there and now guys are trying to make businesses out of buying and selling works parts. It’s so ridiculous. Now there are allot of counterfeit parts out there also. The prices have gone thru the roof. Kind of sad!
Anyone that doesn’t know who Neil Prince is, he was a top British rider in the 90’s, early 00’s, actually he was the British 125 champion in 94. I see Prince’s career basically end at a British round, endo through the bars, lost his spleen I believe. He rode the Vet Des Nations last year.

It was surprising for some reason seeing his name on here. Makes you wonder how they managed to keep all this HRC stuff. They’re meant to return it at the end of the but most of it didn’t, that’s why we still see it to this day.

BTW the this build is incredible, cannot wait to see the bikes finished.

Here’s how thing worked with Prince Neil and HRC. HRC didn’t not lease the parts to him and his team in Europe. HRC was not involved with the team directly. The teams were 100% paid for by the Prince Neil Team, no HRC money was given to them, also since HRC was not giving them money to race, they didn’t lease parts from HRC they bought them out right. So all these parts were Prince’s, He did not have to give them back. Prince was racing Honda’s but was not an official HRC team. Even Martin for sometime was not an official HRC team, so they purchased parts not leased them. It was not till just a few years ago did HRC get back into Mxgp officially! Does that make sense?

I get ya, so Prince bought the parts outright so they were his to sell. Fair enough. I remember racing at a club meeting & a guy had an HRC clutch cover, an original. I always wanted to get my hands on one of those & wondered how people got them. This was in the mid 90’s so HRC we’re still using them. Friends in high places I suppose.

In the early 90’s HRC was actually selling parts that were works parts, they didn’t advertise it, but if you knew the part numbers you could buy the stuff. So they were kit parts not works parts. But magnesium clutch and ignition cover, that said Honda Racing on them, cylinder, pistons, igntions, transmission kits. Lots of support teams used them, the factory teams used some of the parts.

What???
Was it an effort to steal just the HRC items or a random burglary?

What a massive blow. Very sorry to read this. Those parts will be extremely difficult to sell. Only persons interested in doing works replicas would pay good money for that stuff. Additionally those types of persons display those built bikes.
Ultimately it may be easier to track those down due to the rarity of those items.

Bad bad deal.

I think someone must have stocked me out! I’m am so dam fucking mad. It’s taken me about 10 years to get all the parts fir this bike and some low life has to cheat. Well I will try and get a list together if you guys can look around to see if some one is selling the stuff! I think it might have to do with someone on this site.
