I just sold my 450SXF and am considering a 250 XC for both track and some trail riding.
However , I’m concerned about whether or not the suspension on the XC is stiff enough to allow to charge hard in Moto. Can anyone share feedback on that ?
To the OP, are you planning to do some motocross riding with the TX as well or mainly off-road?
I am 35 years old now and have been riding motocross my entire life and just would take my motocross bike on the trails (very rarely ). But now I’m looking to get more into the trails as well.
I want a two stroke and am looking at the 250SX because i know it will be great at the track and then I could simply make it work on the trails. But the XC and TX bikes are very tempting !! I’m seriously considering going that route.
Suspension was a bit soft, I put it At 142psi and added 2 clicks of compression on the forks and one on the shock and it was better. Power was good but maybe signed off a tad soon up too but we’ll see how it is after a few more hours, only has like 1.5 on it now. Gearing was pretty good but tough to gauge on that track since it gets so rough and whooped out and deep, hard to keep it on the pipe. Overall I’m pretty pumped on the bike.
Also, I took the kickstand off haha. It’s such a handy thing to have but the MX’er in me couldn’t ride with it on the track.

I’ve got a 2020 300xc and race GP’s with it. Have sections of Mx mixed in. I’ve done up to 60’ doubles and tables with no bottoming and the suspension still soft enough to handle the woods with ease. I’d see no issues with some adjustments to run Strictly MX with it as well. I’m 165lbs Stock suspension front and rear w/ fork psi at 135.
Gorilla Biscuits ... hah. I still have a t-shirt from back in the day packed away somewhere.
