Who will jump ship to join this team next season since Ferrandis and McElrath will be moving to the 450's next season? And go...…...

As fast as those bikes seem to be, my guess is that there are plenty of riders hoping to get a call from them......

I’d imagine they’d bring in a rookie or two.

Ty Masterpool. Heard he just injured his leg but I think he’s the next one to go. He did a few outdoor races last year

There is not many seats open, but I wouldn't be so sure. His contract ends this year and he is the top prospect moving up.

McElrath on the other hand signed a multi year deal with Star Yamaha.

I'm just glad we'll have another top rider moving up to the 450 class.

AP signed with Yamaha apparently.

Shane to Yamaha

Dylan to KTM alongside Marvin as the 3rd rider.

Nope. Dylan to Factory, with Barcia or Pless. Shane staying with Star on a 450

Given the track record of the Yami 450 I wouldn't be surprised to see him on a different bike. Unless Yamaha cuts him a fat check of course.

It’s time to turn the script on the track record of the Yamaha 450. It’s a great bike for many but not top US supercross pros?

And guys, this is not the same bike JS7 rode back in the day....many generations and new models newer than that bike.

I'll say it. Plessinger gets off the Yamaha 450 and shines on a different bike. Just like cooper webb...

* in 2022.

(It's been mentioned a handful of times in this thread alone that Plessinger is signed through next year.)

Since the star Yamaha 250 is so dialed and with lots of power. How do you guys think Dylan would do lining up for a 450 main event in his current bike?

I think Jordon Smith has the experience and some potential that Star might want to tap. His last 2 seasons and hearing his wrist is forever fucked up doesn't help his cause though.

DF14 was great with Yamaha 450f at Paris supercross but I do think its way better option to go KTM if there is bike waiting even its red. He seems to be biggest name coming up and will run in front like Adam with 450f.

I guess he did. I just remember Budds Creek where he led a few laps. I meant next to go ride SX. Never heard his parents so no to that

Lawrence brothers? I hear from Ralph that one of them is only 16!

I love his determination and heart, but most of the times it seems like he can't think properly during races and is riding over his head. Which results in even more crashes. With a different mindset he would have been a 250 championship already, in my opinion. Hopefully he can turn things around next year

If the Star Yamaha 450 program rumor is legit, I see both of them on there.

The Factory Yamaha program doesnt have the greatest reputation right now and I dont think DF14 wants to go there.

If Star however, who is known to make incredible bikes, makes a 450 program for him, I think he´d love to stay blue.

He never races 2 outdoor seasons lol. He was 17 years old last year. He went from school boy class to racing outdoors.

One has been racing pro for two years now or so. I saw the younger one at a open practice Saturday and he is no where near pro level speed. So no sure where you think they are relevant to this thread.

Yes, whenever I see 250 riders with lap times that would put them in the top 3 or 5 of 450 lap times, I have to wonder. But we will never find out as none of the OEMs are going to want one of their 250s to finish ahead of one of their 450s - wouldn't look good.

Of course MXON is another story completely.
