I design and build custom electric conversions per request. Here's an example of a KTM65 conversion. If you have any questions regarding electric bikes just text or email me and I'll try to answer them. Mark at MSC Engineering 602 752 0083 or maxvonauto@aol.com

And Mark, if a 65cc electric is not available in a couple years I may be contacting you. That thing looks badass!
Anyway would love to see your bike and first ride videos as well.
Did quite a bit of research and I honestly couldn't justify the ktm at this point. With her, I'm just going for the fun factor.
I chose a YCF 50 E and she's got about 5 hours on it now.
If you're interested further, search OMPR pitbike group on Facebook. A local shop reached out and offered a good deal too when they knew what I was looking for.
This isn't nearly as adjustable as the ktm, but the ability to adjust the throttle response and overall power has been a good thing for us. My only gripe so far is the cheap chain. Stretched really quick and multiple times. I'm going to put a quality 415 on it and see how it does.
Overall, for around $1500, I'm happy so far. I'm pretty sure she is too!
Pit Row
And buy the two year plan. If anything happens they take it back no questions asked. I’m never going to change the oil on it or anything. So quite too, when at the track I leave it running even when we ain’t charging. Crank it up when we get there, then turn it off when we leave.
No electrical expert, but dont think a 3500 watt would charge any quicker than a 2000 watt. I either charges or doesn’t. No expert though
Using modified 48mm forks (from the big bikes) and rear shock (from the big bikes)!
My daughter is getting close to 2.5 hours. A random 25 minute charge adds about a half hour it seems.
Acceleration and throttle response can be adjusted separately.
So far, she's broken levers and wore out a set of rear brake pads. I ordered unbreakable levers (which comes with better perches too) and some brake pads.
I really like what i am seeing. Especially with a 13-18 donor. For instance that can be a great 2nd bike for someone serious about racing but living in or near a residential area and whose parents are working during the week.
SX-50 Mini is 20.25"
The triples on the electric are the same as the sx-50 so they have the taller head tube. I did put a set of mini forks in the electric for a while (which works) but he likes the air fork over the mini non adjustable so we put the air forks back in. The extra height seems to be all in the forks and the longer swingarm. He just starts on starter blocks and has to ride up to me or mom to get off. He can one foot it on the mini.
The electric is great for my wife. She won't do the gaser but they ride the track at home all day when I'm at work on the electric. Electric is great for anyone that just wants to do standard maintenance, lube a chain and charge. He rides mode 5 and gets about a hour and a half on semi hard pack. On loamy or sandy tracks he only gets about 45 maybe a hour.
