We found Big Bird. It took a trip to Wynnewood, Oklahoma to get this interview, but it was worth it. Watch from this link or listen on iTunes, Spotify or Stitcher. You can also follow him on IG @stonewoodranch

From the podcast Matthes did with him, he said the zoo was right down the street

A young Larry Ward prefers the great outdoors in this interview across the pond.

Watching the YouTube video now, and it looks like Larry’s ranch isn’t lacking on the gym equipment. Dude’s 50 and he looks jacked.

Haven't listened to it.

Does he say how in the heck he ended up in Oklahoma?

His mom and stepdad live near florence, sc and last I heard Larry had built a house near myrtle beach.

So cool to hear that history spanning all those riders. I can't imagine racing at the top level from junior to pro and coming out of it without several major injuries. Takes talent and brains. It did seem like he was racing forever and always in the mix up front. The interview also brings home how hard parents(his mom and stepdad) work to get their kids around the country for races.

Can anyone help me find all these old interviewee pictures that Ping claims are uploaded on the Whiskey Throttle website? I think he said to go into the Podcast and scroll down or something. I must be computer illiterate or something because I can't find them.

Do people know that Larry was the first "factory" rider to be fired and hired back to "factory"?

He bounced up and down but let it be known that he was very very good and up there with the best.

If you mean the first one, that was a great night, after a fun day including the amateur race that morning.
