I Was just looking at the vault and noticed Roczen hasn’t raced in salt lake since 2011! He did get 2nd to tomac but that was almost 10 years ago! How do you guys think Roczen will do at elevation?

Thunder valley is about 1200 feet higher than SLC, so he will be fine.

It won’t go well for Jason Anderson.

Hopefully his crew planned ahead and he has been sleeping in a hypoxyco high elevation tent. Train low, sleep high.

If they aren't that's on them... I always went to Mammoth 2 weeks early to try to get used to the air. It makes a huge difference.

No. He rides a lot in St George. 4 hours south and much lower.

SLC is only about 4,000. Yes, higher than sea level but it’s not crazy high.

4,000ft is more than enough to give lowlanders issues, especially during high exertion events. Granted, very fit athletes are better off, but still...

I'd be surprised if Kenny and his wife's bags aren't already packed for St. George.

I just looked it up in The Vault; he has 3 wins, 3 seconds and 1 third at Thunder Valley since 2011. I think he'll do just fine in SLC.

He'll do well as long as he gets an excellent start (as usual) and Eli gets a mediocre to horrible start as usual.

Anderson is the one that is prone to elevation issues. I'm sure he just loved the venue announcement.

Ken will be fine IMO.

Tomac will have the elevation advantage.

And his first ever 250 win in 2013 in Salt Lake City.

The same race Roczen failed to qualify in and Tomac faded to 9th.

If 2013 is any indication (it’s not) we are in for a wild ride.

Man that was a crazy night. Looked like Roczen threw away the championship and then Tomac just gave it back to him
