I’m not bagging on Jeff, but to think that he was brought into a professional team with real support for any other reason than for exposure.. c’mon. Yes he’s a great rider and no one is questioning that. But teams want proven top 20 riders. I would hope results come first before social media following.
The comments Jeff made in that post make it seem like ML was trying to screw him and everyone knew it. I don’t see how that’s possible but it could be true. If ML is grinding a day job in the downtime to make ends meet because the racing world is at a halt I don’t see how he could be blamed for not being 100% sure about supporting a 30th-40th place guy through outdoors.

Were they going to get a better deal somewhere else? I can’t imagine any other team even giving them bikes and parts. Very bizarre, especially in this economy. 🤷🏻♂️
be interesting to hear ML`s response.
Sounds like there’s more to the story.....
without giving ML a heads up first.
And obviously it makes the team look bad losing its second rider in a within week.
But on the flip side they both obviously left for a reason ??
The walker thing I have a little more trouble understanding. Even more so after his post. His post makes it sound like he has so much to offer, and I’m just not seeing it. He’s never raced SX, and I get he hasn’t been able to fully commit to MX (how many teams are going to commit to a guy who hasn’t committed himself), but he doesn’t even make the main in every attempt he’s tried. The one, and only concrete thing he has to offer is exposure, and in terms of subscribers throughout all his social media his numbers aren’t even that impressive.
As for the whole controversy over how he left, I'm a ML fan, and I've seen nothing here to change that.
Obviously I know nothing behind the scenes but I've always assumed ML's team basically just covered travel costs and gave the rider a solid bike and gear program. Maybe they thought it was structured more like a "factory ride" or something? I dunno.

The bit you highlighted is what my post was referencing.
And i do not believe that it was just brand, because we all know that the best brand is Free brand..
Also, this guy is definitely in the need of new good gear like FXR and 6D... His HJC helmet looks junk
