Always 2 sides but guess I'm not sure how Walker had more to offer to ML than vice versa. Yes Jeff has some youtube followers but his results aren't better than many local pros trying to give it a go on the national scene. To be given the opportunity to have the support (plus the support ML got him last year) the FXR team provided, from this outsider view just seems to be more than he would ever get on his own.

The only thing making Walker look bad is his own post.

Before questioning too much, remember Blose was doing well before he was hurt. He’s ridden for a ton of teams at all levels and he’s 100% behind the team and with them. He was great last year, won the Aus title, and performed this year. He’s had other options and could get support elsewhere and is choosing this program. That should answer some questions.

Jerry and Jeff will be ok. I know a lot about the Jerry one as we are close. What ML said is accurate. He just needed to reboot on his own program even though it means less support.

Jeff is great at what he does and will have no problem getting support to do things his way.
Forget about me?
I’d never forget about you. The Chris part was just needed to make a point. You being healthy finally and Coty healthy should make the team look really good when we finally get to go racing.

I like Jeff’s YouTube channel, his National vlogs were cool to watch. I think every privateer should have a ‘driven to ride’ type series in some way to help boost their sponsors.
I’m not bagging on Jeff, but to think that he was brought into a professional team with real support for any other reason than for exposure.. c’mon. Yes he’s a great rider and no one is questioning that. But teams want proven top 20 riders. I would hope results come first before social media following.
The comments Jeff made in that post make it seem like ML was trying to screw him and everyone knew it. I don’t see how that’s possible but it could be true. If ML is grinding a day job in the downtime to make ends meet because the racing world is at a halt I don’t see how he could be blamed for not being 100% sure about supporting a 30th-40th place guy through outdoors.

I wonder how the riders feel they were taken advantage of?

Were they going to get a better deal somewhere else? I can’t imagine any other team even giving them bikes and parts. Very bizarre, especially in this economy. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Taken advantage of and treated unfairly ? This coming from the same guy who was hooked up with Alpine stars last year and loaned some kit suspension among other things by ML? For one Walker can barely put it in the show and was given more then most guys that struggle weekly. I'm sure there are 2 sides to this but seems ML has taken the higher road.

My view is somebody's gotten a little too big for his britches (or helmet?),and it's not ML512.

Easy sparky, that was Walkers post that disappeared. Not my words, his.

Sounds like there’s more to the story.....

And this is classic someone without reading comprehension skills trying to call out someone else.

on Pulp it sounded to me like They were down Jeff Walker because he just put it out there on social media
without giving ML a heads up first.
And obviously it makes the team look bad losing its second rider in a within week.
But on the flip side they both obviously left for a reason ??

Conspiracy theory. Do we know that was actually Jeff posting? I could make an account "JS7" and pretend to be James all day. Seen weirder things on the interwebs, and that post just doesnt make sense. Guy never rode the race bike. If hes pissed he was washing bikes or testing parts for the other guys... well that's part of being on a team.

The Robin thing I can kinda understand. Sometimes things just don’t work out, and both sides need to change things up. It’s unfortunate it went down the way it did, and instead of going down quietly in the off-season it went down now, but this virus has found a way to wreck a lot of things. No shock given the time to sit around, and think people may think the grass is greener on the other side.

The walker thing I have a little more trouble understanding. Even more so after his post. His post makes it sound like he has so much to offer, and I’m just not seeing it. He’s never raced SX, and I get he hasn’t been able to fully commit to MX (how many teams are going to commit to a guy who hasn’t committed himself), but he doesn’t even make the main in every attempt he’s tried. The one, and only concrete thing he has to offer is exposure, and in terms of subscribers throughout all his social media his numbers aren’t even that impressive.

I actually unsubscribed to his channel after watching his Hinson vs. Rekluse "shootout"....way out of his swim lane IMHO...no data to back up his conclusions (which went way beyond a pro rider's opinion on feel and effectiveness on the track). But that's just me...he seems like he's hustling to create content and make a living, so good for him.

As for the whole controversy over how he left, I'm a ML fan, and I've seen nothing here to change that.

If so, the imposter created the troll account in 2018, responding 34 times to various threads, and posted his own video and CRF bike setup threads under the name of a dude who (with all due respect) isn't exactly JS7.

Well that throws my theory out the window.

Were they going to get a better deal somewhere else? I can’t imagine any other team even giving them bikes and parts. Very bizarre, especially in this economy. 🤷🏻‍♂️
That's my biggest question too. Short of robbing their bank accounts, I don't understand how Michael offering a truck and bike would be taking advantage of them? Especially when there are no other offers on the table for that level of rider.

Obviously I know nothing behind the scenes but I've always assumed ML's team basically just covered travel costs and gave the rider a solid bike and gear program. Maybe they thought it was structured more like a "factory ride" or something? I dunno.

It is pretty clear from this statement that ML512, like so many media moguls, was known for taking in naive riders with promises of fame, and when their guard was down... Well we won't talk about that.

I am just sayin' that is clearly the statment of a victim. They don't call ML the "Weinstein of Moto shootouts" for nuthin'.

clearly something more is going on behind the scenes that's not blatantly obvious, But both Jeff and Jerry seem like very nice people so do you all think they just both decided to walk away from free bikes for no reason?
And i do not believe that it was just brand, because we all know that the best brand is Free brand..

As far as Jerry goes, if hes not feeling the Honda and thinks he'll get better results doing it on his own KTM. Then it makes sense for the long term. Free bike this year, or even bigger pay check next year?

hard way to learn how many broken promises there are in the Moto industry... i think by now everyone would know that every thing in this industry is unprofessional and just "ill keep my word" contracts?

@ML512 You should consider A.Ray as a member of your team... his relation with Donn at SML can bring you some exposure.

Also, this guy is definitely in the need of new good gear like FXR and 6D... His HJC helmet looks junk Grinning

I actually lined A-Ray up with his current deal, I’m super stoked that him and Jason from SGB have been doing what they’ve been doing this year.
