Buying a used 2019 Husqvarna FC 450!!!

Edited Date/Time 4/5/2020 10:29am
A pro racer has a 2019 FC 450 for sale. 60 hours, and stock. Said he didn’t race it, was a practice bike. Let’s say that’s true. Valves were checked and “perfect” according to him. He has agreed at a price of $5500 which I think is pretty good. Let me hear your thoughts

I picked up a brand new one leftover from the dealer a few weeks ago for 8k.

I also just sold a 2015 fc450 for 3k.

5500 seems fairly decent. The bike should have a built in hour meter on the triple clamp. Check that and make sure it’s really 60 hours. Also ask him what maintenance has been done to it. Should be solid

Also pick up the 2020 number plate that is vented. Fits the same and solves the drilling holes issue.

I would pass. You can find a vet owned one with under 15hrs for 5-6k.

5500 with 60 hours from a pro level rider would be a pass from me.

I would suggest You go and look for other bike .. some other bikes in their life span will not see as much load and abuse as this bike has seen in 60 hours .. transmission, valves, valve guides, bottom end in general, clutch, but thats just mine opinion. Most likely there isn’t anything wrong, its just that everything is wearing out in engine much faster for this kind of riders.

If he agrees, get the ECU read out at a dealer. This will show you hours, rev limiter hits and general use of the bike.

I agree, then You will also be able to see how many hours has been ridden in low rpm, medium rpm and high rpm. This is the best option, however I anyway would probably look for another bike.

Pass. Saying a bike has never been raced means little to nothing. If anything, a race bike was probably maintained a lot better.

I see a lot of people like to say they got these "SWEET" deals on here such, "Yeah, I got hooked up with a brand new bike below dealer cost.". I doubt many to be actually true and other to be very exaggerated.

I just sold my 2019 KTM 300XC with a few aftermarket parts for $7,000. It has just under 100 hours.

Take a good look at all the wear points on the Husky and if it's solid I'd say buy it!

The bike looks clean, I’d offer $4,500-$5k. If you get it for that, the deal is on your side. Depending on your speed and maintenance, the bike will be fine for 120-150 hours.

I would stay away from anything a “Pro” has owned...if he indeed is Pro level riding, it has had a hard life. Plenty of older vet & Sr riders have these bikes, and they truly have never been ridden very hard. 😂....

The 19s are awesome though I rode my buddies 19.5 and could get used to it easily. It feels way flatter than my yzf

Pro's stretch frames and sack out suspension and wear out gearboxes alot quicker than a slow vet that just wants to try to relive the past.....at a lot slower speed.....they take care of their bikes maintenance too.

Some Pro's can ride the same bike for months, and some can destroy a bike in a week....depends how they ride...

And 100 hours is the recommended interval for a full top and bottom end rebuild.

Brand new 19s here for $6999 no tax, no prep. Why buy 60 hour practice bike? It was rode hard. I'd pass.

Anybody got any experience with this dealership?

No tax, prep, leads me to believe this would be like 7200 otd but it never ends up that way lol
