Online play they have to implement something where lappers don't have collisions. They ruin great races just by idling in the main lines or just taking out the leaders a lap down. Oftentimes waiting for them to clean them out. On PS4 I literally have three names memorized where I just leave the lobby if they enter it because that's all they do. If you're curious, they're igotitdownpat, bnewman714, and jackmeyoff69. It's ridiculous.
I love the realism of you being able to loop out if you gas it too hard out of a corner. But .... With so many controls and only so many fingers, a lot of times it's impossible. For instance I can't lean forward and shift up at the same time, something we all obviously do out of corners in real life. Well I shift instead of leaning forward so sometimes it loops me out. So I'm not sure what the tweak is there but it has to be something. As I said though I do love that you can't just gas it full speed out of a corner with reckless abandon.
The flaggers. Oof. If they're going to implement flaggers into the game, they can't have them right at the edge of the track and have you immediately respawn if you get anywhere near them. That just doesn't make sense. The most obvious one that I'm sure you guys have experienced is the one right after the finish line at Denver. If you cut that corner really tight while still on the track, you're respawned.
The game for some reason just flips you into neutral if you pause in a corner. Online when battling for the lead, I love to show people a wheel to get them nervous. But I don't wanna take the line, so I'll just dive inside and pause, leaving them plenty of room. Well sometimes this flips my bike into neutral and I just sit there revving my engine for a second. Really dumb and an easy fix. Especially with me running manual transmission, that should not be an issue. This is most prevalent at East Rutherford, where it's extremely tight and when you go inside, a lot of times you do have to stop to not clean someone out.
When someone knocks the tough blocks out of the way, they obviously need to respawn, which they do, but when they respawn, they need to not have collision for a couple seconds. Sometimes they respawn and a rider didn't know they were even there and then boom crash. That's just silly.
Track deterioration. I admittedly didn't play a game since Reflex until MES1, but what happened? Reflex had it down perfect. How have we went backwards? There's no deterioration at all now.
Career mode needs tweaks, but that's an entirely different deal. I just wanted to talk about the game mechanics themselves here.
As I said, great game overall and they fixed a ton of issues I had with MES2. 2 went backwards from 1 and 3 is much better than 1.

Definitely practice pulling back on the left stick as well as the right after landing in the pocket as you go back up the take off. (if you weren't able to catch the backside of the previous jump)
Also on flat you can actually pull back on both sticks, gas it and push forward to bunny hop a tad. After I learned this I was able to clear so much more stuff and go table to table easier.
Gameplay is sometimes difficult to predict, where in MVA, I know what I am doing at all times. In MESX, it does not take much to be off your line, it is extremely temperamental. I just can not help wanting to get a tad more gangster with the physics though. Maybe it was muscle memory from having played MXGP 1-3 and MESX, but it took me all of about an hour to know exactly what I was doing. Which, I absolutely hated it, until it clicked.
PS: back-brake to LT, front-brake to right-stick click, shift up to X (square on PS4), shift down to A (X on PS4) was the move for me.
For those on the fence about buying it that have had the previous versions, I would say this one is much for muchness with a very light physics update, but mostly bold new graphics. Very much has the same feel about it both in turning, rhythm sections and in the air. Can still use rhythms as whoops, can still hit big lines if you get it all correct etc.
Good fun.
I played MES1 up until I just downloaded MES2 and have played the MXGP series and MX VS ATV. I do not know if it's a PS4 download issue or what but it is unplayable. It's damn near impossible to just go straight, it ramdomely shoots off in different directions in the air, after you wad up and hit the gas you loop out regardless if you are pushing forwards on the right stick.
Milestone does not seem to have a website with a forum that I can find. I messaged them on IG and Twitter but I doubt I will see a response. Has anyone else had these issues? Does anyone know if there is a patch?
I have tried all my controllers, changed all the controller options on the game, changed all the bike settings. Nothing changes anything and it's impossible to even basically get a lap in.
Pit Row
I completed all the tracks for Xbox one. Uploaded Salt Lake last night. Give me a few days to rest my wrists. Then I will get the PS4 stuff done too.
SPX 2020 SX R17 SALT LAKE
In your game go to "online tracks" Search SPX and all my stuff will come up?
