haha, thought the same thing............Dietrich?
Don't know what happened to him in the 2nd moto.
Will he do others outdoors races this summer ???
Top off road professional racers are elite athletes as well. I personally follow most forms (WORCS, GNCC, Nat'l Enduro, Hare Scrambles, Endurocross, World Enduro, etc.
Follow what you want - who cares - but give each athlete the respect they deserve. And maybe be a little more open-minded.
What are you "seriously" talking about ???
he's just surprised you hadnt heard of someone as accomplished in off road riding as dietrich
as he is pretty well known in off road circles for ISDE, WORCS etc,,
and i'm sure has been in the DR's top 100 rider list etc..
as he rides all types of diciplines of motorcycling.
its *similar* to to saying you had never heard of
larry roeseler ,destry abbott , scott summers, steve hatch, jeff fredette, danny hamel, david knight.
or any of the GNCC, or road racing guys.. that are somewhat well known.
for example i dont follow pro hillclimb racing closely , but certainly know who travis whitlock and robbie peterson are..
no biggie.. its just a bit surprising you had never heard of ricky,
factory kaw rider and one fast dude at almost anything involving a motorcycle.
And sorry, but in Europe, I think very few people know Dietrich... And that was absolutely not my original point!
I was not pin-pointing YOU specifically at all - and yes I noticed you're in Europe, BUT I bet I would recognize MANY of the Euro motocrossers and participants in World Enduro for example.
It just triggered my thought on how many people follow motocross only and think that the other disciplines are of lesser value. That just annoys me. I'm not saying you were eluding to that - I was just hopping on my soap box for a minute.
And yep AJ - you're right. Not to mention how well Ricky has done at the Six Days...
But the person above that questioned the depth of talent because of how well he did in Moto 1 - thats what I'm talking about. Many off road racers cross over and do quite well. Hell, he beat Brown and on-again-off-again Josh HIll. I love it when off road racers hop in and do well. I think if Caseli put his head down and focused on moto, he would do well too.
