took the advice of several posters here last year and got a klx140l. think the size is so much more fun than a 110, but i'm 6'2 so could be why.

if they update with efi (or honda updates the 150 to have efi & loses 50 lbs), i'll upgrade.
Honda's 125 is EFI Smile

Sounds like you made up your mind OP (CRF), but I would not recommend the TTR-110. We had one for a few years but there really isn't much aftermarket stuff available for it at all. Finally got rid of it this year and got a KLX110L (that someone else mentioned above). Mainly got the Kawi to make a mini version of my 19 KX450. Seems like a lot of guys are having a good time on the CRF pitters though, I wouldn't mind having one of those either.

I have all three in my garage, and honestly, it doesn’t matter. Get the the cheapest one and you’ll have a blast.

Appreciate you saying that. It'd be too boring and long for the others on this thread though. DM me if you care to know. It's been fun putting it together, but there's some frustration with parts coming from overseas and needing some tweaks. I've had to bust out the grinder here and cut down wheel spacer stock there. But at the end, it's a cool bike to have, not gonna lie.

Thanks bud, only recent laps with this coronapocalypse have been around my house though! Should have been in actual pits this weekend.

I agree. Post some details! Only us pitbike junkies are reading this post anyway.

I just picked up a 2020 crf110 a few weeks ago. It’s such a blast and it starts so easy. I‘ll stiffen up the forks soon.

Are you guys running stock cables with either 110 bars or high rise mini bars? Hoping they get the full sized throttle tubes in stock soon, I might start ordering parts before I even pick the bike up 😂

Both! Original local schedule was the season opener and LL area qualifier at Thunder Valley this weekend. So much for that.

10-4. Nothing super exotic like zokes and a perimeter frame but here goes:

Pro Circuit T-4 exhaust system
Fast Ace front end kit (forks/clamps/disc brake)
DNM shock w/ adjustable rebound
BBR Stock Comp Signature swingarm (+2 inch ext)
All Balls tapered steering bearing set
Excel Heavy Duty black rims
Dunlop MX33 tires
Faster Minis frame cradle
Faster Minis sprocket guard
BBR tall seat
BBR chain guide
ProTaper pillow top lite grips
ProTaper twister throttle tube
ProTaper 420MX gold chain
DRC wide foot pegs
TB forged aluminum +1" extended shift lever
Piranha over the top brake pedal
Adjustable needle (stock carb)
37 tooth rear sprocket
Renthal bars (actually my stock KX450 bars cut down, fits the high rise clamps well)

Also have a BBR skid plate that I removed to install the frame cradle, need to machine it a bit to be compatible with the cradle and it'll go back on. I almost got the fully integrated JTI corso plate/cradle last time they got stock in, but it seemed a bit much at the time.

Next on deck is the motor. Debating which big bore kit, cams, carb, etc. If anyone has experience good or bad with kits they've installed, I'm all ears.

I had no problem with the stock cables and high rise bars on either my TTR or my KLX (when I ran the stock clamps with tall ProTaper bars). Not sure if the same can be said for the CRF but I'd bet you are ok.

Can run stock. I had rsw 2" risers with renthal 784 bend bars on my 110l as i think the 50 bend bars look stupid.

Dont go above 143. Otherwise you might as well buy a 250f.

Kitaco 143 was the kit to get back in the day. That with a mikuni vm26.

I have a 110L with zokes, and bbr super comp swingarm, looks like a mini crf 450. I have a bonestock motor and like it just fine.

That is one sweet pitbike my man! I've had several 110s over the years and the best motor kit I had was a Takegawa 143 big bore kit. That bike hauled the mail and and still had stock head. Anyone know if they still sell kits for the 110s? I bought mine already with it so I never forked out the change for it because Takegawa is pricey stuff. I am running the TB 143 kit with v2 race head on my 110L now and its been great. No telling how many hours I have on that motor. Also, does anyone have the new Pro Circuit t6 system for their klx? $385 is all I see...

Thanks @mx 219 and @WW444 for the input. Much appreciated and taken into advisement. Sorry for hijacking the thread @ButteryWaffles. Hope you post back with your purchase and whatever you wind up doing with it. Think we all could use the distraction about now.

I have the Pro Taper 110 bars on my 2019 CRF110 with the stock cables, I just had to rotate the throttle housing forward a little bit to keep the same cable routing. I also cut the bars down to the 4th line as they are pretty wide. The 110 bars are farther forward than the stock bars but not much taller. The CRF125 throttle tube works but you have to grind off a bunch of porcupine things that hold the stock grip on, not a real big deal, just didn't want to wait any longer for the BBR throttle tube as they said they won't have them until the end of April.

Still think those late 90/early 2000 XR80s were the perfect size for taller guys. I'm 6'4 and that couch of a seat, manual clutch and open cockpit were the tits. We'd camp with a bunch of families at El Mirage Dry Lake before the hippies made it a pain in the ass to go out there, and would make pit bike tracks on the lake bed around the little shrub humps. Those post-dinner races were usually the highlight of the trip.

Thanks for the info. Seems a lot of guys are running the 50 bend. I’m vertically challenged at 5’6 so I’m trying to figure out a comfortable height for the bars.

XR80 seat height: 28.6"
KLX110L seat height: 28.7"

And you can get a cable clutch with several of these models.

Thought I had my hands on a CRF, dealer said they’d be in today and had put one aside. Haven’t heard back about it after calling. Called around to check inventory elsewhere just in case and was told by one dealer I’d be lucky to get one by Christmas. Has anyone else had difficulty getting theirs?

Meh, not to bad. Would lay it on its side for the clutch cover to make it easier.

The TTR is cool because of the taller gearing, the KLX is good for aftermarket part selection and having the option to get the L which I also had. Haven’t ridden the new CRF but I’m hearing the fuel injection works really good. But at the same time I’ve never had a single issue with the KLX carbs.

Crf seems to be good so far, the only issue I’ve had is the connector to the rectifier under the seat came loose and shut it down. It’s currently getting a little bit of a make over, but should be together this weekend.

Finally picked one up. Local dealer got 48 in yesterday, 10 left as of 10:30 this morning. Anything I should look for or do before the first break in ride? Never owned a new bike before big or small.
