I just rebuilt my track after a year and a half of broken tractor. Sad watching it go to shit.
Looking pretty good now.

I've kind of purposely kept my Yard Lap (track) sort of basic and more of a scrambling track with natural terrain. As I'm :30 minutes from Cahuilla Creek, a fantastic MX track, I'd rather go there for serious moto and keep the yard looking sort of natural with a fun track around it anyone can ride.

Though I do have a number of 'ninja lines' that take you off big rocks or features, and I think I'm going to build out a pretty solid MTB jump line... but again sort of working into the natural trees, hills, and contours.

Here's a few from our Yard Lap.

It really didn't rut up much. We had a lot of wind into Monday, and sunshine, so it dried out on top, and got super tacky underneath. There was no shortage of traction today that's for sure.

I'll bite, a fun for all skill levels mx hare scramble mix. Tried to incorporate the natural terrain. Has a woods section, always changing and evolving. Just lucky to be able to ride out my back door.

All the pics I have at the moment, I'll look for more. 10 years so far, and tons of work. It started as trails for 3 wheelers.

Looks pretty good my ass, this looks amazing. These are all great looking tracks but this one sticks out to me, just something about the location and surrounding terrain that seals it.

That is awesome! Cant wait to see the finished product! What was the cost of the sawdust per yard or load? Thinking about incorporating some into a few sections of my track.

It was $80. But, the buildings you see in the background are part of a sawmill, so there's no delivery charge. I really like using sawdust. It holds water better than anything else I've tried, and makes the dirt super loamy and soft.

With 2 solid days of dozer and tractor, this track is gonna be pretty solid when we are done. It's not bad now but its really gonna be good soon. 1/2 supercross style (not pro level) and 1/2 fast outdoor stuff. About 3.5 acres so not huge. 1-1:10 lap times. It's small but there's no place to rest.

Sounds perfect! I have 3 different soil types on my track depending on the elevation points. How many yards did u have delivered? Also, how thick do you lay it down before incorporating it into the soil?

I own a landscape maintenance company and im in the middle of plumbing one of our spray trucks with an auxiliary pump to pull from our spring fed pond near my house. The particular truck can carry 800gal so the more moisture the soil holds the better.

This place is 3' of topsoil with a clay base. Almost limitless dirt to work with. Pretty flat so we have to build our own technical challenges. I try to copy a lot of SX features - whoops, split lanes, step-on-offs, rhythm sections. Then I have a few sections that are pretty flat so we can work on 100% throttle in 3rd and 4th gear.

That's 8 yards of sawdust. It's enough to do all the areas where I want good traction. Maybe1500 feet of track? I also have a few yards of chipper stuff that I will blend in. I rip a foot deep, then bucket it over a section, rake it out a bit, then till it about 6-8" deep. It's anywhere from 1-3" deep after raking depending on what I want as end result. I'll take some shots of the process tomorrow.

When it's all done, it's the best loam I've ever ridden. Majik carpet ride it's so silky.
