What tractor are you using on your track ?
I am using a small Kioti CK3510se that I bought new last year. I also have a (74) Ford 3550 that came with the house but it seemed to break every time I tried to build anything with it. I spent more time working on that damn tractor than the track itself so I retired her in the pasture...

The Kioti is a joy to use with the hydro stat clutch but it could use some more power and muscle for most jumps. Some day I hope to have a dozer as like an earlier members post said it would be way the HELL faster to make all of these jumps and sections with a dozer. Also safer, again like an earlier member said these small tractors are not very stable with large buckets of wet heavy dirt (or other items) and do not like much outside of pretty flat land.

Just for reference the small (10x8x5) step on/off table takes a lot of dirt and time (roughly 5-6 hours) and a dozer would knock it out in a 1/3 of that time.

Aromas Mini Bike Track. 15 years in the making. Countless laps made. Countless number of kids taught to ride here.

Awesome! Got to love the TTRs. Some of our most fun motos have been on our wife’s bikes. We have had some epic battles! Last time we did that i blew a brand new set of fork seals on my wife’s ttr. I had replaced them because i had blown them the weekend before while battling with the guys. Those little bikes can take a beating so long as u pay attention to the spokes.
I must admit that we are having as much fun as we do on the big bikes. Thanks!

Thank you very much.
Two years to build with just a small 30 HP tractor/loader and stay at it 3 to 4 hours a day to keep it nice.
I never figured this when I started but the terrain was perfect just had to find the best route around.
Changed a bunch before the final layout.

You look like you have some very nice dirt. Too bad neighbors are so close but it sounds like you have it worked out to get some laps in and keep the peace.

An old GoPro lap from 2016 when I finished building and started maintenance and riding though the maintenance seems to get more track time.

Yes ...take it slow the skills will come back fairly quick as you never forget just get rusty and out of shape.
I'm 63 and raced back in the 70's as well and thru the 90's till 2001 just having fun now.

If you're not locked down in Escondido and feel like a road trip I'm having a few folks out this weekend to ride.
Weather will be a perfect 69 and sunny.

Cheers

Today was as good as it gets. We put 10 yards of sawdust into the track yesterday, ripped deep then tilled, and mother nature blessed us with light rain overnight. It was so good today - you could do no wrong. Any line, any speed, as much throttle as you dared. Couple shots of the boys having a good time. We are so lucky to have a track in these times - not a track is open here in Oregon.

Today I'm going up to the hills to look at a guy's property. 30 acres, some 10 acres cleared. He wants to build a track on it, I'm thinking in the Washougal style. As fortune would have it, I've got some 200,000 cubic yards of good, clean fill at the job site that needs moved. So we are going to see what we could do with his place, and maybe 50,000 yards of that dirt. If it comes about I'll post some pictures.

So it turns out it is a 40 acre place, and it has some really serious terrain to work with. Like Horsepower Hill or Mt. St. Helens serious. A 10 acre bowl with steep slopes around it is the basis for the track.

Build started on Friday. I'll see about getting more dirt on site next week. Access is a little tough but the haul guys like a challenge. This one could turn out to be something really special...

West of Portland Oregon about 25 miles. Yeah, there's some steep stuff to work with. I'll update it over the summer. Hope to have it done enough to ride in a couple weeks.

I know this track, and the owner. Gotta say you did a dang good job. Haven't been on it yet, but man, it sure does look good. Are you the guy who built the track there originally, too?

It did come out nice. I didn't do the original build, but I've done most of the work since on prep and the rebuild. I have a really good dozer guy that does the big stuff. The build he is doing now is gonna be unreal. It's back in the hills, super private, and has unreal elevation. Owner wants to stay quiet tho so i will respect that.

I purchased a track skid steer and a tractor with disc and rake then went to town. About 200 hours work so far but i have a nice 1/2 mile MX track and a 1/4 mile flat turn track. Lots of maintenance in Ohio for sure! Drainage js always a challenge.

No good pictures but I do have this go pro video. Lap times right at 1:30. Everything was built with a John Deere loader tractor. Hopefully can get some more dirt hauled in and add a few more jumps.

Well, for what it's worth, I appreciate you doing all of that. That said, as you know, the owner of that track is a super good guy and does not ask much, if anything at all. Every time I ask him if I can do anything to help, he always tells I'm good and not to worry about it. But, if you ever need my help, let me know. I would be more than happy to help, if I can. I feel bad riding there not doing more.
Let me know if I can help, and I'll dm you my number.
Again, great job man.
