Maybe they could bring in some different dirt? They’ve got time.

If they're going to do anything, they should hold 1-3 races in Florida at the private test tracks. Limit it to the top 10 in the series, limited travel required, no fans, you don't even have to have a live feed. Hell, plenty of championships have been decided without a live TV feed. Technically, I don't think the FIM or AMA even need Feld in order to hold a race like this.

If they want to settle it, that's the only thing that really makes any sense, and even that is just relatively speaking compared to holding anything in a stadium.

Otherwise just call the series where it stands and let the riders focus on their families and what's next.

That wouldn't work. The tracks aren't designed to handle more than just a few riders and the aren't wide enough for tuffblocks or any other safety measures. Plus Team A wouldn't agree to race at Team B's track and vice versa.

Maintain what gap? He’s down by 3...and Tomac is a dry slick demon...watch Denver from last year...this does not favor KR imo
Gap in the race....and yeah well aware Tomac is a demon on the slick stuff. I don’t think he closes a 5 second gap on Kenny in a main though.

The only way I see it Happening is if they just have 20x 250 riders and 20x 450 riders
When you add up dirt wurx and camera crew there isn’t much room left for teams to bring their people.

Is the minimum requirement for number of rounds needed for it be classed as a championship really 14-15? That seems like a lot. F1 have 22 races and their minimum is 8.

Matthes podcast 3/13/2020 had weedge and JT.
It seemed 17 was mentioned, as the number of races the big teams we’re obligated to show up, for their deals with major sponsors to be fulfilled.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s what I got out of it.

Don't see it happening. Things are shutting down for a while.

It could happen... But I'm not confident it will. If they wait till the very end of the SX season, maybe the situation will be different enough to get it done.

But, lets just pretend for a minute...

Are we talking a Sat - Wed - Sat - Wed - Sat schedule over 2 weeks + 1 day? How intense would that be?

Two races short. Currently at 58.8%. Completing two more races would put the series at 70.5% completed.

He's closed a 5 second gap multiple times this season already. Then gapped him by 5 seconds.

Where in the AMA rulebook does it say that? Not being a wiseguy, I just want to read it.

A minor injury puts a guy out for 5 rounds? Not cool with that personally. Way too much incentive for the field excluding 3 and 94 to ride WTFO with very little regard. Asking for problems. Knee jerk. Get 2 rounds in.

I just looked in the championship area, page 39, and didn't see anything about that.

Yeah I’ve looked through the rule book and didn’t find anything about it. I may have missed it, though.

There won’t be any more supercross this season , think about it hotels and other things are closing in Vegas this week. No way they will let a race happen where this is well over 250 industry people

I think you're right. All MGM resorts are now closed in Vegas. Just the start probably.
So is Wynn from what I heard in the briefing I just attended.

Teams rarely stay on the strip, and there's way more rooms than on the strip

Things get weirder every day, and as much as it sucks to admit it things are going to get worse before they get better.
Maybe we should all just put our elbows on the table, and in the immortal words of John Mulhaney accept that “ this might as well happen “.

Someone who goes by Dan and works for Snap-On and was on Main Event Moto. He apparently heard these things from one of the teams he works with.

Do you want the real deal facts? Even if zero additional races are run, it would be considered a complete championship.

With that said, I'll stray to the more speculative side. I hear that Feld will try to get in as many additional rounds as possible, in an effort to make it as complete as possible. Multiple rounds at a time? Maybe. Mid-week SX races? That's also a possibility.

We just need to see how things progress on the disease front over the next couple of weeks, and what comes out on the planning side.

I admire the moxie and determination to pull something off. It’s part of what makes the sport, and the country, so great.

But this is a misreading of the situation. We are at the very beginning of this outbreak - not the middle, not near the end.

It’s also delusional to suggest that supercross will be able to do what is needed to stage an event when you look at the steps that are being taken in much larger and vital parts of the economy.

Supercross 2020 is finished.
Let's say a few riders get hurt and require a trip to a already Overwhelmed Hospital or something completely unforeseen happens at one of these rounds they're trying to fit in? You can hear the Trauma Doc now," he broke whatever bone racing a motorcycle,WTF"?!! Tape him & splint him and get him out of the way! Im pretty sure said rider WILL NOT be a priority patient. Sponsor money, obligations or whatever, it seems alittle irresponsible to me.

But was it verified by his wife's manicurist?
