lmao they literally went for red plastic KTM. Not even a slight deviation in the plastics shape/design, they could have had a different front fender ffs Silly .

Really like those wheels. Better than those coloured wheels which look like crap in no time.

Besides that, it is a pity that it is nothing more than a red KTM yet. Hope they do come with something other than that for next season.

I, too, prefer a bit of white like on the Dakar bike but i love the silver rims.

I think it looks great. Anyone who expected them to have Glenn ride anything less than a proven red KTM really is asking too much considering the takeover just happened months ago and GG had no proven mx platform. They had to do exactly what they did and if any of you owned the business i think you would do the same.

They'll be small changes down the line but obviously even doing this went right down to the wire.

Personally, im stoked to see a new brand on the track and a resurgence of an old brand on the trails. Sure, its just cosmetic right now but the deal just happened. If anyone expected them to build an all different mx bike in 6 months then they are just being unrealistic. For now, it has to proven and familiar for Glenn and Taddy to succeed on.

I'd like a bit more white and a white rear fender, too. But usually most don't care for white fenders. But too much white gets super stained off road so no complaints.

Silver rims are sweet.

Looking more, my main gripes are little things. Not s fan of red seat. I think a red/black al Selle Dalla Velle seat like on the Dakar bike looks much better. Logo is nice and prominent unlike KTM so that's cool.

Curious if the enduro range differs any.

Am I the only one who would like to see the KTM look the same, except changing the red to orange? Big, white KTM lettering, orange frame and plastic front to back. Maybe switch back to black rims.

From Enduro 21

FIRST LOOK: NEW BREED GASGAS 2020 MOTORCYCLES BREAK COVER
First look at the all-new, Austrian-built GasGas motorcycles racing round one of the 2020 MXGP World Championship this weekend at the British GP.

The new breed of GasGas motorcycles have finally broken cover ahead of the opening round of the MXGP World Championship season opener in Great Britain this weekend.

As the Standing Construct MXGP team announce today, this is a “new chapter” for GasGas motorcycles and a key moment for the brand as it expands to compete in top-level motocross alongside its trial, rally and enduro.

When GasGas became part of PIERER Mobility AG at the end of 2019 alongside brands KTM and Husqvarna within the company the teams involved faced a short turnaround time to be ready for their respective seasons.

We understand it was never as simple as bolting on some red plastics to existing models, although they clearly share major components including the WP suspension. The two models set to race at the opening MXGP round are named MC 250F and MC 450F.

Today’s press release from GasGas says: “the specification of both the MC 250F and MC 450F machines used at Matterley Basin and throughout early-season GPs will evolve in-line with the arrival of the 2021 GASGAS Motorcycles production models.”

If you were Glenn, and your bosses were making the switch, would you complain if stuck with what you have had success on OR going to a bike manufacturer that has no proven mx bike...check that...no mx bike, whatsoever. I mean, what would you want?

To those who expected anything different, i mean c'mon. This is the only way it could happen successfully. They'll slowly incorporate changes but, as i said, this was down to the wire as is. Advertising, promotion, logos, graphics, logistics, photo shoots. I'm sure that ML512 could chime in and say that there is a ton to do even if this is a larger scale.

I wonder if Glen and the other riders had a chance to ride the red bike before this weekend? I know its just a color change but I feel I'd want to ride the bike at least once to get used to riding a red bike instead of orange as insignificant as that may seem.

Those bikes looks stunning, i love the silver wheels!

And btw, those bikes being just red KTMs makes 100% sense. Did anyone expect anything other than that with the really, really short time frame since the takeover of Gas Gas?

It’s almost like I had a part in one of those bikes Wink

In all seriousness, I do all the graphics for diga, so I already had an idea. Got a photo the other day of the front end of the bike.

They all rode them for the photo shoot a couple weeks ago. I wasn’t a fan of this design. But now all together it looks good. I actually think the silver rims look good on these

Those things with gold wheels like the 80s Hondas would be sharp.

I think they have different plans for the gasgas versions from what I’ve been told. This year will be a ktm. But I think future bikes will Head down the opposite path of the ktm/husky models
