I was in the stadium all day yesterday and A1 & A2 as well.
I posted the MXGP video in the other thread beating Herlings on a cls Kawi.

Love watching this dude ride, reminds me of Tomac less the inconsistency.

Maybe Roczen's teammate next year? I can see Big Red throwing some cash his way. KTM too, also with Deano done Husky too.

Yamaha will of course want to retain; bidding war could be too pricey.

IMHO.

....on a smoother track and on a 250.

The 450 will be a beast for Ferrandis!

Track favors light steering , not horsepower .

Chase Sexton will be Roczen's teammate as soon as SX is over. He's moving up to the 450 this summer.

Factory Gasgas? Woohoo
Agreed, because the big blue bike or Factory Yamaha haven't worked out so well for Stewart, Reed, Grant, Millsaps, Brayton, Webb, Barcia, Plessinger and who else did I miss?

I thought Barcia was going to break the blue curse this year with his dry A1 win but now I'm just thinking his stars aligned with his bike setup while most of the other top riders were "off". I'm hoping he can battle for a win again but we haven't seen it yet. Maybe back East....

DF will be on a blue bike. AP will be in the woods. My prediction.

I wonder if DF would go that route with the Rocky Mtn KTM team or if he would try and go somewhere where he can do his own helmet, boots, and gear deal? I hope he doesn’t go with Yamaha and waste a year or two over there before moving on to another team and bike.

It has nothing to do with motor size.....it's all about the rider!

I can perhaps see ktm making a move by replacing musquin.

Webb's contract ends this year.
Webb got a raise and a year added on when he won the title.

Rumor is he wants to go to KTM.

Isnt it sort of common on some tracks that 250-450 lap times are about the same?
You really think he’ll get manhandled when he moves up? Lol I highly doubt he’ll be getting manhandled. He has a ton of experience and IMO will be a legit threat on a 450.

It's been said that JGR is in their final year of contract with Suzuki. Seeing how Suzuki scaled back their support, will they re-up their contract with JGR?

Savatgy is on a 1 year deal. He rode well enough to warrant a two year. Was the 1 year deal because of the lack of support from Suzuki or perhaps the future of JGR is unknown.

JGR has been at it a long time so it's difficult to see them leaving the sport, but you never know.

Suzuki scaled back their support to JGR, but somehow the HEP team will be doing outdoors this year.

Remains to be seen.
Does Husky have any interest in having a factory backed 450 team like KTM does with Rocky Mtn KTM? If they did it would be nice to see JGR get that opportunity and leave Suzuki.

I don't blame him. Arguably the best team.

Hope it materializes.

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing him stay blue either.

Let's look at who the KTM Group supports.

KTM supports their 450 Factory team, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Team Tedder, and Troy Lee Design KTM.

Husky supports their 450 and 250 factory teams.

GasGas will be introduced, so it needs to go to an already established team. Rocky Mountain ATV/MC already has the connection so it would be a safe bet.

I personally don't see Husky having another factory supported team, but you never know. Maybe JGR will get that chance if Suzuki doesn't renew their contract or maybe they'll leave the sport.

2021 will be interesting.

I don't think I'd bet the house on that...yes that is the plan, but I think it can change. Dan Truman and Matthes were talking about it on the Moto 60 show this week. Chase has only won one race, and is consistently getting injured.

Has Dylan ever complained or blamed his results on the bike? He seems to own up to everything and just rides his heart out every time the gate drops. I think the Yamaha would be fine for him. It’ll be fun to see where he lands regardless. The 450 hype train is still only gaining momentum!

JA21 punched his meal ticket hunting down and passing a star 250 Kawi rider. DF is repeating history, and unless Forkner steps up to the plate, the next big money 450 contract will swing Dylan’s way. Just a question of which team puts together the best overall package.

Dylan rode the 450 at Paris SX late last year. The dude hauls the mail on the 450 as well and looked great on the blue “pig”

Will be even better once he times his pass attempts to a point where it's possible

I enjoy watching him race....
You best watch the 250 SD main again. He blows his flow multiple times when there wasn't even half a chance in it for a pass.

Dylon V Craig ??? There were no boos from me.

Is it?

Cooper’s KTM contract wasn’t near Yamaha’s, AP’s next won’t be either.

If you’re really betting on yourself, you go team first, bike second, money last.

Dollar difference will be made up very quickly if he delivers.

Webb did that a bunch of times as well.... Im not sure what happened when he went stateside full time 450s?

Apparently it was at a time when they werent very open to change but thats seems to have changed - so im not sure if I see the issue. Barcia definitely seems like he is every bit as fast as he would or could be on any bike this year. Even AP at least has a bit of speed but he seems to just kind of clicking off the weeks staying safe and hopefully will come alive.

I would not go to the US Factory Yamaha 450 team if im Ferrandis and other teams like Husqvarna/KTM would have a spot for him.

Nothing wrong with the base bike but there are plenty of question marks around that team. It seems like any time they get outside help it really benifits them/riders (Preston late last year, Enzo last week.), so what is going on with the actual people inside the team when they can't figure things out regarding the bike setup for the riders year after year (Reed was vocal about it after his two years with them)?
2/10/2020 1:18am
I predict he goes to KTM and they do a three man team for a season or two and then Marv retires.
