The high-speed compression adjusters have been done a while now and we have them available on our site. They came out great! A little tough to turn, but still very doable without tools. No photo of one on the KTM yet as the shock is still in pieces…
We’re currently machining our billet fork lugs. Those and WPC treatment of the upper tubes is the main hold up on the suspension, so those should be done soon and I can get everything to N2Dirt Suspension for final assembly and valving. I did a bunch of work on the Dal Soggio kit to change the colors up and fix the adjuster issue as shown earlier, but I also received the MX Tech Lucky kit for our other shop bike. After weighing them both, the MX Tech is 2.5 lbs lighter than the Dal Soggio! So the plan now is to go with MX Tech on the KTM and the Dal Soggio go on our Husqvarna. The Lucky cartridges are supposed to be really good, and we’re going for a really lightweight bike here, so it was the obvious choice.

After that I sent the cases out for black anodize. They masked off all the bearing bores and important features where sizing id critical, so no worries there. And I knew that castings don’t always respond well to anodize, but wow, these turned out like crap! They’re kind of a splotchy grey. It’s not too bad if grey is your desired finish, but I really wanted black so our hard-anodized grey covers would really pop… So, I’m sending these off to Vince @fiendz.cc for some proper Cerakote. Lesson learned there…
Your work is damn nice. I love seeing the new stuff you come up with.
1) I've integrated a bigger interface for the brake side wheel spacer to sit against. We can change the wheel spacer size for more or less stiffness at that interface for a different steering feel. I suspect we'll want to go as stiff as possible, but we'll see after some testing.
2) There are a lot of people running KYB inserts or some other change from stock. I'll be machining some of these lugs as "blanks" - all features externally, but with a dummy internal hole. We can either sell them like that for custom applications, or machine to order. I'll keep some fully machined ones on the shelf for typical applications like AER and KYB, though.
3) Replacement cast lugs are pretty expensive if you strip a bolt or something. We can offer billet ones that are competitive in price.
4) Bling. People are spending $1000's on fancy coatings, upgraded internals, etc. and then putting on the stock cast lugs. If we can offer a hard-anodized, billet equivalent, that looks factory, it's an easy upgrade to match the factory look of the rest of the fork they've spent a ton of money on.
The air-cured cerakote looks good sitting on the frame in the office here, but it's hard to give a good review since it's just sitting inside!
Or run it stock?
Sick Build!
Let me know when you're ready to do a KX500 build.

I just startet this Account to ask how the build is going. I check this page out almost every day just to see if there is an update. But it has been a long time. I hope you will continue this build because I follow this since day one.

And I'm not certain on the upper tube color yet, but we'll likely go with our black Kyokote as shown here:

Dropping 10g here and there will add up to a lot lighter!
