He really looks like he has a speed this year, he had that track dialed, I wish he would have gotten a good start. I didn’t look at the lap times so I could be wrong, but he definitely looked like he could have won or podiumed.
I like his attitude too, about getting back to the East Coast and competing for those wins, he knows he has the speed. He’s not too far out of championship contention either, what is he 15 back or so? Just gotta get those damn good starts!

I’m rooting for him. He really needs to just finish the full season for once and he’ll be in a respectable spot in the points championship. The field will inevitably thin as the year goes on, hopefully he’s not one of the ones missing again. He definitely needs a start though!

The class is stacked...any of the top 10 qualifiers can win. This puts more emphasis on the starts. It’s anybody’s race with a good start. I think this is the most stacked field I can remember.

And he finished second after admittedly not being aggressive enough early in the main but for the most part Cooper is not ripping starts like the groove he got into last year. Justin if he starts up front can usually stay there. That is my point Smile

I think maybe Justin is one of those "mental" guys who get messed up in the head when he watches the top-5 guys go blasting by out of the first turn, and if he's not especially "feeling it", shuts down into cruise mode and starts riding around to collect points. I hope I'm wrong.

But after smoking everybody at the last two A1's...he seems to settle into mediocrity.

He's no different than the last few years. First couple races he's on the podium than 7-10 every other race. Like clockwork.

What impressed me with Barcia was when his bike died in the heat, he got off and pushed it back to the pits. The Barcia of old would have thrown a fit. It was good to see and I hope he keeps that attitude. As far as the racing goes, if he starts up front he's staying there, but he doesn't have the outright speed to recover from a bad start.

First of all, we should all know by now that A1 means very little. It's kind of a wildcard race.

Second, he's had some bad luck since A1 along with bad starts. I don't think A1 is that meaningful, but I also don't think it was a fluke. Barcia is a solid top 5-8 guy, with an occasional podium in there. So far, he's healthy and progressing, still a LONG season to go.

I think at the end of the day it'll be Barcia, AC and Wilson battling for the last two spots in the top 5 in points.

Interesting... So do you have Webb or Anderson in 3rd??? I'm guessing you forgot someone along the way.
