So you can predict the gate drop again because of the music/tunnel vision? How can no one at milestone bring this up in when they test the game?

Is there a way to download the game before the 4th or was that only for pre orders? I cannot find a way to get it on PS4 store until the 4th.

You can download and play the game if you select the special edition version.

Go to the PSN store, click the magnifying glass, enter Monster Energy Supercross 3 and the 2 versions will appear.

Ignore the price. That's in Canadian dollars.

You should still be able. Does it show the release date on the version you're looking at?

There's no reason why you couldn't play the special edition version if you purchsse it.

Edit: I see what you mean now. The pre-order in a blue box. That's fine. The special edition has a different release date. Click on the game icon, you'll see what I mean.

I love how hard this damn game is. Making a clean lap is so much more rewarding.

As you can see, number/name fonts were bigger in the preview version I played earlier in January. I don't know why they changed it for the final release.

Looks like from what I’m reading here I’m going to get the game soon. I was very disappointed in 2 so I wanted to wait this time awhile to see what everyone thought. Have they fixed the awful mechanic of getting spun out and crashed yet? I have no problem with strong AI and difficulty with the game long as I don’t have to deal with BS crashed I unnecessarily have to come back from.

If you purchase the special edition for PS or Xbox it is available 4 days earlier, but if you are buying the standard edition its available on FEB 4th

Any idea why Geico Honda team was not included in MES3? Not licensed? Any chance for it to be DLC content?

So far I’m really liking this game. The in air physics are improved a lot since the last game. The cornering seems good to me also. The tracks I’ve played so far have a really nice flow to them when you hit the lines correctly. By far my favorite Milestone game.

The one thing that I don’t like is that you can no longer shift with the sticks. I’ve always used left stick to shift down and right up. I have no idea why they would lock R3. I think using the sticks to shift is used by lots of us, kind of an odd choice to lock it. I’m currently using L3 to shift down and X to up shift.

Game is fun. Pretty much exclusively been racing online and haven’t experienced a lag or drop issue yet.

My guess is a license issue. This is not the first time a team or a rider is missing but this is not an issue if you play on a PC because there will be mods and the Geico bikes/riders will be added to the game through mods.

For the life of me I can't figure out how to turn the damn stupid blue preferred line arrows off

I don't like that they basically took all the engine braking away. Turning is a lot different in this one. I'm sure it's something I'll get used to, but damn. I'm tired of having to learn what feels like all new physics with every Milestone installment. They're not even remotely the same like they've built off the other one in any way.

Really liking the online lobbies except the people I’m playing with are riding like it’s the last lap for a million dollars.

To turn off the blue arrows when you go into a race it is in the event setup menu ( where you set the race distance and difficulty) all the way at the bottom of that menu.

I got the game last Friday and was completely shocked about the physics. Days before, I played MES 2 and was still used to those physics. I struggled quite a lot and thought the new physics feel more sluggish and the rider somehow feels heavier. Also, the first two tracks are pretty tough, combine that with the new physics and I thought this game sucks. But after a few hours, my opinion changed completely. By now, I really like the game and physics. It takes some time to get used to it but once you got it, this games makes so much fun.

So before everyone hates on the game once they got it, give it some time. You will get used to the physics and you will appreciate most of it. Sure it has some flaws like every game, but overall it's the best MES so far. We can be thankful Milestone makes such an effort every year to bring out a new game for such a niche sport. Have fun playing guys.

^^^ that’s exactly what I thought about the game, give it a few hours to actually learn it and it’s badass. Even the track editor is way better and user friendly

Anyone having a scoring issue? I'm playing 450 career and half the races it will rank me super low even though I got 1st or 2nd

So fun once you get it figured out. Already one of my all time favorites, I haven’t had this much fun since Mx vs atv

Happened to me on a triple Crown race. I got first and it gave me 26 points instead of 1 for the race. Ended up getting 14th overall because of it.

How absolutely terrible are the compound sx tracks. It's like they were made for a different game.

Currently halfway through the 450 season on advanced physics.

Most of the game is okay, graphics are great, the physics feels as thought gravity is altered on certain parts of the tracks. Sometimes the bike does an extreme balloon off of some lips while other times the bike is as heavy as lead.

Bike noises are still horrible and i don't know how they continue to think that this is acceptable.

The constant goon sounding hanging revs when the bike leaps the jump is annoying, especially since it's a game full of jumping. There's no crisp braap off the lip, it's always followed by a terrible sounding hanging rev. if that makes sense.

Clutch seems to do nothing. Rev the bikes guts out and let the clutch go and the bike noise just cuts outs followed by a bog regardless of gear and speed.

Small things but they get on your nerves when your banging out motos.

AI is okay at best, it feels as though 19th-5th all bunch up, it's not real challenge to come from last they're all close together.

I like the unique tracks like daytona and las vegas.

Im now two seasons in, 250 East and West. Starting to fall in love with this game even more than i thought i would after my initial reaction. It's badass. The feeling you get nailing rhythms in first person, dipping the bike down, slightly whipping/leaning to set up for a tight inside corner right after the landing etc. So many awesome things to say.

Also how rough it gets when messing up a rhythm. Really hurts your speed/flow, the "whoop section" rhythms are gone as far as i've felt. Rad!

All that said, the bad things about the game are so weird and many of them seemingly pointless? I get bugs like the scoring etc. Those are left over from SX2, or getting 0 credits after a race randomly. I can live with minor bugs.

But - as some others have said - the freaking compound tracks. What an incredible swing and miss that turned out to be. Not sure how they messed that up so bad. They are nooothing like the rest of the tracks in game as far as scale and most importantly - quality. I don't know how they scan tracks but the only theory i can come up with is them not gaining proper access and did crappy scans using freaking google earth haha. And then not bothering to fix the files.

Bummer! The rest is killer though, really hope they push out a huge overhaul of the compound asap. Test tracks should be usable for testing before the races, right? haha. These tracks are far from helpful in getting faster or finding settings for the races.

Bought the game on Switch so I can be on the move. Will be playing mxs and mxbikes on pc anyways.

Of course I understand the Switch version had to take a hit graphically, and It certainly did, but it seems like Milestone doesnt want to put as much effort into this version than the others. I got it confirmed from Milestone service rep that there is no Special ed.(so no early access was available) and there is not going to be a season pass, like on xbox, ps4 and pc.... Pretty shitty. OFC still 60 dollar price tag

Not sure about in the States, but the switch version is $20 less in Canada.

Been playing the game since the 1st, and man what an improvement over the first two games. Still having trouble being consistent in the rhythm sections. Definitely better than the past two. Whips are tricky to get the hang of, but can look decent. Also finally feels like they got the whoops right. Cant wait to see how the game turns out after some updates, etc. The Legends DLC sounds sick!

Add me on xbox if you want another person on the gate! jordan_crx

I am having a blast learning the new game. It feels like there is a steeper learning curve to being consistently good, which I really like.

Only thing I am struggling with is finding a good base setup.. Does anyone have a setup they could share or maybe put up a link to a youtube video where someone has a good setup shown? I can't seem to find one on my own

Thanks!
