Why is everyone pushing this so hard? Every time one of them is asked about it they seem like they don’t care even a little bit. They’re trying to make this a JS CR situation and is WEEK 1.
But after A1 forget about the supposed AC/CW rivalry because there could be about 5 new rivalries between Bam Bam and the top 5 if Bam Bam is able to maintain this pace. This would make for a really exciting year.

From a media perspective, it's just easy to latch on to. AC and KR are BFFs and seem to have a lot of fun. CW seems like the polar opposite.
I've always been a Webb fan, but him saying that at such a devastating time for AC didn't sit well with me. It wouldnt hurt my feelings one bit to see AC put it to Webb, take the title, and murder Webb with a vicious dig in the post race conference. AC wouldnt do that though. He's too good of a dude and too classy. He would be loving it though, and throughout the season its gonna be on his mind because he's a guy and that's just how we are. He's gonna be out to win races, get title, etc like everybody else, but he's also gonna be out to beat Webb regardless of how everything else pans out. That's just what I think. If that's rivalry, then yes I definitely think it's there.
I just don’t understand why Webb even said it? (I mean what a POS thing to say about someone after losing a C’ship they’d worked their life for!)
CW was trying to pass it off like he was sick of AC’s name been brought up but really the media guy was just asking if there was any extra nerves etc seen someone make a mistake that cost them the c’ship just before he was about to go out. The normal answer would of been- “No just need to focus on hitting my marks and not making any big mistakes, was very unfortunate to see that mistake cost him”
I think AC might be trying to kill Cooper with kindness- too many props going his way.
Webb has never said a positive thing about anybody. I hope AC gets the best of him this year.
Pit Row
Who knows, who cares really. That was last year.
except its more towards webb having an issue more then AC9.
It goes back to the amateur days.
However.. I love that Web has that chip on his shoulder.
even last year.. webb just won a 450 title and all that was spoken about was AC9 moving to the 450s and how he is going to win.
again.. im a fan of botth. i love how humble AC is.
But i love the passion to win and prove Webb has.
Freaking journalists trying to create shit where it doesn't even exist.
Cringeworthy it's something like : "I want them to be scared" or "Dungey is a good rider but I have a lot of things that he don't"
These sorts of things have a way of coming back to bite you if you're not paying attention so ultimately Webb will pay the price if those guys get the opportunity and want to take it.
JLaw was one of the best personalities for our sport but unfortunately his existence was cut short in the pro's because of his off the track crap. Webb seems to have a bit of JLaw's personality in him along with the ability to keep it together off the track.
Webb and AC are rivals as much as any other top riders are. They've all battled at one point or another. But the broadcasts are painfully dumbed down for a mass audience so that the casual fan or first time viewer has something to cheer for or focus on more than just jump, turn, jump, jump, turn.
Webb has the FLU!! OMG! What an athlete! Let's mention that 18 times and maybe viewers will respect his grit.
The Aussie focus was killing me for the A1 show. I'm all for foreign riders, but it was overkill. Mid-race scanning back to Jett Lawrence in 9th really served no purpose other than the rookie update. What about the guys in 5th or 6th? Didn't hear a peep about them.
These weak storylines make MX/SX seem like there isn't much going on with the riding/racing itself, when nothing could be further from the truth.
