Not sure if he is aware the guys ride an outdoor season, Thought it was great that Brayton did all these off season races and seemed confused as to why everyone else was doing nothing since last May?
Anyways first show of the year is always a little rusty, it should improve.
I’d like to see Jason Weigandt get a 3 race opportunity. I question the reluctance with getting him in the booth for SX ?
Him with JT, Matthes and Daniel Blair alternating weekly and have rider guests now and then.. much better. Hardcore fans like myself will watch it either way so I guess it doesn’t matter.
Dude he's commentated the outdoor series, he knows the sport and has been around it for more than 30 years.

I like Ralph but tonight was good too. Then again i love the sport so I’d still watch if it was In a language I couldn’t understand and Still get 100% enjoyment.
I will watch no matter who is commentating but shouldn't we strive to make the broadcast the best it can be to make it better to watch, look more professional, and better attract new viewers? Sounds like you just like to bitch about people bitching.

As I said on another thread, the playback bits from Ralph from 2019 used in the show told me everything I need to know.

RC was better , cos he was working with a better guy, but that only moved him from terrible to awful.

Great to see they fucked off all the social media stuff, that made it far more professional , and the way they cut to Blair and Will Christien was far more polished.

I've never heard of Diffey before last night but this is evident. Even after all the years Ralph has been doing this, he still doesn't seem to really "get it". And moto background aside, Diffey came across way more professional.

I think it’s a massive improvement from Ralph. I believe that Ricky feeds off of Leigh better than Ralph. It feels less forced and flows much better. I get the impression he is watching the racing more closely than Ralph does as well.

I wish they would replace Will. Her accent is just very obnoxious to me.

Diffey seemed to do pretty well, but I prefer announcers without a British/Aussie accent.

I never had a problem with Ralph. It was not the same not hearing Ralph at A1. Yeah Ralph made mistakes and got cringe worthy here and there but Ricky is by far worse than Ralph in that aspect. Ricky does bring the rider aspect though. Honestly I couldn’t hear the new guy well at all during the mains.

Yeah it felt a bit ”strange” not having Ralph there, but Diffybwas so much more proffesional during the cast. Keeping track of split and laptimes etc.

As a ”real” fan you actually got more back from the commentators this year, instead of sittning with a large facepalm as soon as Ralph open his mouth.

Leigh is doing a great job, no knock on him, but I still found Ralph better. Maybe after a few rounds I'll have a different opinion, but so far, Ralph is still the man.

They talked about people who were in the race , not those 20 secs off the win, There was a great battle for the lead , and 4 through 8 , when Tomac was in 10th and going nowhere.

This always pissed me off before, they would follow him for laps rolling round doing nothing while the race at the front was ignored, the director made the call to follow proper action, not a guy who hasn't won the championship for the last 4 seasons.

Diffey was awesome and I think Between him and Ricky it was light years better than past years. Ralph’s spastic screaming won’t be missed. Hopefully it stays Leigh and Ricky
