Virgin media wouldn’t let me go to mxtrax so I assume it’s s bit dodgy for viruses or something. Anyway I turned my WiFi off and popped in to have a look, it doesn’t work very well on my phone and I soon got bored. (Until I came across an old pm off wizard that I’ve never seen before lol) Wonder if the welsh blokes still top mod? Anyone remember his name? It’s doing my head in. Woohoo I just remembered, it was relic. Poor bloke took some stick in the later days. Lol

Mxtrax was great fun about 10 years ago, the rejects forum was pure gold.

I was a Reject back in the day.

Any good british mx forums now?
What about british podcasts?

I tried the MX Vive podcast, but struggle listening to Lewis Phillips if Im honest, his voice is like nails on a blackboard,(Searle even said his voice annoys him and cant listen to him)but the main issue is his attempt at being funny with silly childish comments etc, which aint funny.

Had to stop listening to the Searle podcast after 5 mins of him talking rubbish with unfunny comments, talking over Searle, trying far too hard to be funny,a bit like GL used to do on his podcast, but far far worse.

Just my opinion, but I have tried a few times to listen to MX VICE,I want to like it but just cant because of this

James seems a good guy and I hope it works out for them, the UK needs a decent site/forum/podcast

So after all this time does anyone know who relic was? What a tool that man was, he cleared loads of the core posters off!

Mxtrax was great to read back in the day, I last looked a few years ago and it was pretty nostalgic reading about the race meetings over 10 years ago!

I don’t think anything else will replace it as people mainly discuss on Facebook now if something hot happens, like on Mxvice or gate drop

I hear where you’re coming from, although they do seem like a good group of guys over at mxvice and it’s great to see how far they’ve come. It’s cool that they get all the big guys on the podcasts aswel I do enjoy listen to them now and again

I thought there were a lot of tools on mxtrax tbh, full of gimpy know it alls but it was a good forum nonetheless. Shame it was destroyed.

Sorry for bringing up an old post but had to create an account and respond!

This totally brought back some memories, I used to use mxtrax from around 2001-2006 ish.. back in the hey day of Rejects etc/ my name was CrAzY, grown up a bit since then thank fuck.

It's great to see some of you still riding or getting back into it, I still get out regularly, often at mildenhall and wilds as I see some of you do too.

Relic was an absolute cunt, power went right to his head! Shiny too! Damotourettes as well.. had a bit of a run in with after infiltrating the planking forum.

Take it easy bro dudes, I'm sure our paths will cross at some point! (Probably already have) 👍

CrAzY, you had that colourful rm125, right? Blue forks, red clamps iirc?

I never liked Shiny - he was a bell end. I always had to laugh at Ash winding up Gary.

Yes mate that's the one, hideous bike lol running a yz125 now, did the whole 250f thing but much prefer the smoker!

You still riding?

Haha. Didn't you buy it from Falkster?

No, don't ride mx any more - although I still have the bikes. Last time I rode was 2010. MTB'ing is where it's at for me.

Yep off Falkster!

MTB seems to be where it's at for a lot of people, I've got a mate who rides quite high level downhill MTB, he keeps telling me to come out with him but I just don't think it appeals enough! What made you switch?

@bikerider27 five downhill a go! I used to race Mx for years, I started downhill which I enjoy just as much if not more and have bought a Mx bike last year to have another go but ended up selling it as I thought it’s more time, effort and money for equal or less fun - you gotta at least give it a try it’s so good!
4/19/2020 5:52am
Yeh man I will definitely give it a blast at some point! Don't think I'll give up the Moto though, luckily still have that almost unhealthy addiction to it lol

Can totally appreciate why people prefer MTB though, the effort involved with Moto is pretty ridiculous, maybe once electric bikes become more mainstream we will see a hybrid sport with a lot of local tracks, no problems with noise pollution etc/

I'm guessing covid19 hasn't stopped you boys getting out? Dunno when the tracks are going to open again for us, let alone have any money left to do it at this rate!

If memory serves, weren't you doing plastering and/or decorating at the time of Rejects? You still doing that?

I think I got a bit bored with the hassle of having to move stuff in the garage to get the bike out. Then there was the worry about thieving bastards seeing what you have and also the cost. considering how much ride time you got.

MTB is a helmet and a Camelbak bag with food and water in it = simplicity. No gearbox oil every 3 rides, no premix, no air filters. You get to ride some lovely locations (peaceful) which are free if you ride in the countryside. And you can ride as long as you want when you're out unlike an mx track.

You pick a fast narrow piece of singletrack and I suspect you will have just as much fun hammering that as riding an mx bike.

Was living there last year, been away for 6 months, we're moving to Frome but be good to find an MX posse in the West!

I ride sporadically these days, at best. haha. But to me the hassle makes the sessions more special. I ride a lot of MTB, and used to ride a lot of BMX. Love both, and love how casual the riding days are, but nothing beats the ritual of loading up for a day of MX. Rare days for me but absolute treats!

I helped a guy out on Mxtrax once with a computer issue remotely...he repaid me by giving me access to the 'after hours' private forum...I'm not even sure how to describe and can't really remember much of it but it was definetly NSFW Laughing

Anyone else end up in there??

I remember that RM125, CrAzY. I also remember thumps now that you have mentioned him, J2s. I remember a guy on there who had a Union Jack mx kit and number boards on a Yam. Can't remember his name.. I was not massively known on that forum but I was Rob CR85 on there. Would always see everyone on there telling each other where they are going to ride the weekends to all meet up for a practice day. Cool

I remember Snoop, met him at a track somewhere when I was about 15/16, he used to hang with a few buddies off there but fucked if I can remember their names!

Thumps, he occasionally comments on FB, think he plays a lot of golf now, he preferred looking like he rode bikes as opposed to actually riding them though so that suits him 😂

If anyone ends up out one weekend cusses, Milden etc let me know and I'll try come down, I live near Gatwick so anywhere a couple hours from there is good 👍

Bikerider27, I will let you know sometime. A few of us go riding from where I live, more the better. Cool

J2s, yeah. Old Boy Rooster. Me and a few friends normally ride - Besthorpe, Wildtracks, Mildenhall, tried out Route 34 last summer. Was good. Always looking to go new tracks. Apex looks good to try. Would be good to meet up with a few more riders for a blast. Cool

Wild Tracks & Mildenhall are the closest tracks to me now that Joyce Green & The Milk Run have gone.

Yeah, Joyce Green was ok, Milkrun was decent. What a shame. Really enjoy Besthorpe though. I did hire A-Ten track with some friends last year but the weather put a stop to it happening so got a refund and we ended up riding a wet Wildtracks the same day instead. Would like to hire A-Ten again in the summer. Looks worth it. Cool
