Scotland / Northern England in the mid 80's through to late 90's. Kids raced on Saturday, adults raced on Sunday. Laptimes at most tracks were arount 1.45 to low 2's. That is a work of art. Got some questions. Rims and pipe. Just about to embark on an 85 CR80 project and looking for a fresh pipe and the classic factory honda gold wheels from the mid 80's. Having no luck what so ever finding them.

After almost 4 years of owning this bike & it still not being finished, I'm back on it & hoping to have it built back up for Christmas ! One last little bit of repair work to do on the subframe and then the frame will be painted. Carb needs rebuild when the kit arrives, bar that maybe a few little bolts to buy & I think that's the parts sorted. I've just rebuilt the calipers, both master cylinders this last week. More pictures to follow once I start building it back up.

There are a few easy solutions to slow the bikes down. That doesn't cost much to the manufacturers. 1. Sound limits - Drastically reduce the db's and set the test limits to a much higher rpm/throttle position 2. Introduce RPM limitations - drop 2000 rpms from the 250 current peaks of around 14,000 and reduce the 450's to 10500 and...

I would like to think that post-Covid collecters madness will be the prices realised in 5-10 years. Some bikes went up 100% here in Australia (typically steel frame CRs). Like said up a little. KR was the first to use that technique and Jett picked up on it. Ken bailed on it after it got rough. It worked for Jett this time, I’m not sure if he should have dialed it down in the 3rd race, but that can lead to errors too

Didn’t see it posted, but for once they busted out a real quad at Houston. I know there was a huge thread debating what a quad was, didn’t see any mention of the real one last night. I’m surprised Ricky didn’t call it something else since they call a single table single a quad. He probably said it barely looked like they were trying when they jumped it though.

Traded the 450 in and went back to a two stroke for the first time in 15 years. At (almost) 48 years young, I finally decided that while I'm probably faster racing on a 4 stroke, I will have more fun on a 2 stroke...if I finish a couple spots further back, who really cares? Let the build begin!
