I don't know about anybody else, but I'm bloody excited! The series in the strongest it's been for a long time, the field is deep in all classes. It's going to be an awesome year.

All they need to do is bring back the 125 cup lol

Who y'all got for round 1?

I'll say Webster mx1, Crawford mx2 and mx3 is a crap shoot.

Wilson Todd is still racing MX2 right? Can't see anyone having anything for him, I'd say Crawford would be his biggest challenge but I think he's got him covered.

Interested to see how Ferris does as a privateer and his second time coming back from "retirement." Also curious if Tanti can keep up with a healthy Webster and Clout as he couldn't at the start of the season but seemed to get faster throughout it last year.

Then throw in jed beaton too.

Its gonna be wild, I think over the course of the season Ferris has them covered without always being the fastest.

I think we'll see a tanti hang with and beat them at hardback rounds.

Wilson Todd is in apparently, I'm just feeling like it's Crawfords year.

Think it's the same as last year, including being on stan sport. That's where I watch.

Hard to go past Webster’s speed.  If he stays upright more I think he’s favourite.  But Jed Beaton should be interesting.  450 class really is stacked.  Ferris, Clout, Tanti, Gibbs, Waters are all potential winners also.  And will be awesome to see Duffy back on track.

Don't know how I forgot Beaton, power rankings I'd put him 2nd, Webster 1st and Clout 3rd. Hopefully he can get back to his pre injury form we saw at Matterley, would make for some great battles between him and Webster.

Should be a great championship, especially when the defending champ isn't even in the top 3 favourites for the championship. Add in Ferris, Gibbs, Duffy, Waters, Mellross, Metcalfe and anyone else I'm forgetting and it should make for a great season of racing.

Apparently Joel Evans is riding really well too, could this be a break out year?

Purvis and harwood are coming over from nz as well.

I think clout will be a slow starter after the horrible season he had last year. I just want to see him race all the rounds personally.

Beaton is the great unknown, he could be the best by a country mile or struggle to adapt to our tracks and a "lesser" bike.

Either way we'll find out Sunday. What a time to be alive.

A few weeks ago @ Toowoomba and Coolum Ferris had them covered. These weren't a national but Tanti and Clout weren't even in the same postcode as Ferris. I'd guess?? that they both weren't trying anything stupid. So from what I've seen I hope Beaton and Webster are on it to make it interesting.

Wilson Todd and Crawford will battle, Both need to get out of the 250 class its been too long for them on the kids bikes.

Why the hell they don't run a 125 class at the nationals is beyond me. They will get full gates and the racing will be the intense. Unfortunately we will get to watch some crusty old vets struggle by lap 2 and the women will be more spread out than a Russian artillery pattern with Charlie Cannon probably lapping up to 2nd place.

125's?

Only 2 manufacturers have them probably.

MX3 allows them.

Webster has mastered hard pack too now and we all know how good he is in sand. My pick is Webster Ferris Tanti.

MX2 is Todd Crawford Connolly and don’t forget Cody Cooper who is looking really fit this year

Agreed, well atleast Todd should be on a 450. Let Crawford get his 250 title and move up next year.

The 125 class was the greatest thing to happen to aus mx, why the hell they got rid of it males no sense.

Full gates in the 125 class in QLD for the Sunny States. It would be the same for the nationals without a doubt.

I did the 125 cup a couple years ago on my wife's yz. Got my ass absolutely kicked but it was so cool racing with that kind of atmosphere. That was when they would rotate the women's class and the 125 class. I guess with the women's class being at every round this year there isn't the time for the 125 class

They mustn't be hurting for money, I'd buy a 125 at the drop of a hat and do every round if they run that class again.
