A1 450 gate...

I haven't had time to keep up with injuries and everyone who moved up but it seems the A1 450 gate will be quite stacked this year?

Does anyone have a preliminary 450 entry list for A1?

We lost Cole Seely and who else?

Wow, that's 16 former champs of the 17 you listed. I believe Savatgy is the only one who's not a former champ?

Very stacked field.

Edit: I don't think Brayton has a championship either but I believe he has one in Australia. Regardless, it's a very stacked field.

Yeah, big time in both classes next year... I feel like there is maybe a slightly more consistent top 6 with another 12+ that could compete for a podium and even possibly a win at any time if their stars align.

My 6:

Tomac
Roczen
Mooskin
Anderson
Webb
Osborne

That's based on a 100% healthy year for all riders... In no particular order, I think that would be the top 6.

I am most excited about a relaxed 100% something-to-prove Anderson and a defending champ chip-on-the-shoulder Webb facing off. Both good starters, both not afraid to run it in. Things will get spicy.

Wow...zero privateers in the top 22 unless you consider Noren or Lamay privateers.

Let’s hope the tracks don’t disappoint for the 5th year in a row.

Still not a stacked field. Likely be a surprise winner at A1 but will be the same as every other year, 2-3 guys battling it for the championship, couple surprise rides. Question is, which two guys though?

Yep - tough for privateers this year. It will be good showing for any of the privateers to make a main.
Which means great racing in last chance qualifiers.

That list is deep but what percent makes it out of the month of January?

That’s usually a big problem.

A1 is a doozy.

If i'm not mistaken the riders who won A1 in last three years had mediocre seasons following that.

I would guess the order like this:

A1:
1. Mookie
2. Roczen
3. El Hombre

SX2019 final standings:
1. Musquin
2. Tomac
3. Savatgy (hey, let me have my wet yellow dream, ok?!)

That's pretty hefty company to put Noren and Bloss with when it comes to SX.

Arguably the most stacked A1 since 2014 if everyone stays healthy.

Damn. i am really dumb. I always mess up the year number.

I propose that we ditch AD and BC years and start new dating system. I therefore announce this year as the year 0 AB (after Bubba). Cool

Damn is Marty going to get a PC 450 deal of some form?!? That would be really awesome if Mitch gave him a chance on the big bike, even though he's not contractually obliged like he was with Tickle in 2012.

As of today we've only lost Wilson to an injury correct? Will Davalos be on the 450 gate? I guess we need to add Tickle to this list as well. Bowers too?

You’re right, but each year we get more 350 guys moving up and not as many retiring, so the field gets deeper and deeper. However, I think it’s fair to say Cianciarulo, Baggett, Barcia and Osborne are all podium contenders. I’ll even say Mookie so that’s 10 guys with a realistic shot at the podium which is 3 steps. As the year goes on and riders develop, I’m sure we will see which 3-5 are the most consistent to land on the podium.

Who all do you think is a realistic bet at a main event win this year? I think I have 5 guys that could on any given night.
