..... would you be IF, you clocked in and had a shot at $1,000,000 in 3 hours.....as long as you didn’t mess anything up BUT had to be hustling at 110%?

Seems like my bosses expect that attitude for $60 on a daily basis.

What kind of prescription meds you on?? Or you’re on some weed from another planet. What makes you put that thought onto a screen and then hit submit?

Not even close an equal comparison bro - realistically, the chances of anyone besides Tomac or Webb accomplishing this are slim to none. Can other riders win a race? Sure. Can anyone else win all 3? Likely not..

Tomac and Webb are already multi-millionaires.. as is anyone else who maybe possibly could have a shot in hell at this like Barcia, Malcom, AC or dare I even say Gajser (just so the GP fans don't "come at me bro")

Not saying any of the above riders wouldn't be stoked to win the money - but after taxes, I wouldn't even call the "monster million" life changing for these guys; especially not in the way the OP equates it to the general working man..

I actually understand and agree with OP. The amount of composure that it takes to race professional supercross and motocross is insane. I get so nervous for these dudes when it’s getting toward the end of a long series and they’re pushing it weekly, not to mention practice etc. so seemingly unsustainable.

I’ll never forget Jason Anderson winning his title and how much it got to him. He was sick, but he had also been stressed to the max for a handful of weeks leading up to clinching. It was insanity. Showed his human side.

I haven't seen the entry list yet, but off the top of my head, Marvin, Zacho and Anderson can win it. It's a sprint shootout. I'd say any of the fast guys have equal chances of winning it. Mookie is not one of them.

Makes me wonder if they do feel some extra pressure with all that scratch on the line ... Surely the flush guys at the top are probably not tripn, but for guys like Joey, the chance of putting 7 digits into the bank account Monday morning just might up the heart rate a bit...

Don't you mean a life time of training, no parties, no drugs or alcohol, underpaid, broken body, girls with alterior motives, perants mortgaged up to the hilt.

Sounds like a great life, not.

Meh, what about strapping on a vest/duty belt/service pistol at the beginning of shift and not knowing what you are going to get?

Now imagine you are leading your team mate on the second to last lap, he’s coming on beast mode, you could cause him to lose $900,000 if you knock him down or beat him and your going to have to face the team when you get back. I doubt the majority of that team is going to think your a hero.

That would definitely play on anyone’s mind.

And You letting him pass you changes nothing for your finishing position.

Haha , oh man! These type of threads are honestly why I love this place. I simply have no clue as to what's going on , and dudes just throwing the same random shit around. It didn't just jump the rails , it literally just jumped 16 different rails and landed in another country! Laughing Laughing

I wouldn't think it would be any different than heading into the last round of a 17 round series with a slim points lead.

Mabe if ac9 wins the first 2 motos of MEC somebody will ask him if he felt more pressure at Vegas then or now.

Dungey could make a comparison, as could villipoto.

Even Jeff emig would be a good one to ask, as he has been in both situations too.

I think once a guy gets financially secure a lot of the choke factor goes away.
Was it Dungey that said, late in his career, that it's just a dirt bike race?
