My preference for historical, natural terrain tracks notwithstanding, there’s no reason we couldn’t have the MXDN at Daytona. In fact, having tracks that represent the host nation, like a sand track in the Netherlands, is not a bad thing. Having a supercross-lite track would be pretty cool. I’ll bet the French would think real hard about inviting Dylan and Marvin! And Herlings could come over and spend a couple weeks figuring out how to blitz whoops. It would be entertaining! And for those too young to remember, racing in stadiums was still called motocross when it all started. I.e Super Bowl of Motocross.

I dig this point! And I think it would be a packed house. And maybe, just maybe, my country might figure out a way to cross a border on the same continent, and participate.

Thomas Covington last year managed to do quite well starting from all to way to the outside during the GP.
Also gives a good idea of the viewing experience

This looks like a different start configuration than used previously... I'll also add that the drawings of a track layout do not always end up how they are built.

Just looking at that view, it's going to be a tough one from out there. That is also saying that camera angles can do funny things.

I’m pretty sure most of the MXGP starts are like that on purpose so qualifying for gate pick actually means something. The outside gate is usually not very good.
