Well he mentions that the US guys have been over there now for quite some time and that they improved a lot riding in the sand compared to the first few days. And that they may finish way better than some would have initially thought.

But what does Schiffer know about riding in the sand Wink

So is Schiffer in instead of Lagenfelder?
You are joking, right?

Schiffer isn't in raceshape, since he retired years ago. But he is the riding coach of our young team.

Cooper looks pretty smooth and comfortable. I'm liking USA's chances at being competitive.

There’s no doubt they’ll be competitive. Those people saying they wouldn’t be are morons.

France has to be considered a prime contender for the top step on the podium given their history of winning the MXoN. if USA doesn’t win, and I agree they will struggle to finish anywhere near the top 5 in team points, then I hope France cruises to a big win. And the loudmouth, arrogant Brit fans watch their team finish behind USA.
HEY!! Brit here & Ive openly said on this forum that I hope Team USA WIN! For two reasons- Your team has shown more passion for training for this event this year than any team I've known. I love the team fried videos! And two- because giving an 'up yours' to Eli, Adam & Kawasaki!

Of course, Id love Team GB to land on the podium, but sadly I don't hold much hope this year. But, we're the underdogs & we should all cheer for the underdog.

They're looking really good. I just hope they take plenty of time to rest this week. They're been through a lot the last few months.

Dry Assen would help US team but looks it will be cold, rain and wind for race that will make track more difficult and slow.

Wasn't that a ton of rain?

Looking at the screenshots, its showing rain but not much. (.28" on saturday which isn't much) (.08" on sunday)

Maybe I am a moron, but that does not seem like much for the whole day.

i think a bit of rain will only make the track better for racing ... without being like a mudder , its sand , it can handle some rain

I think it will be better for the rain. It will make it more technical and will add a little bit of laptime.

Stephan Everts there in person watching them all practice. Says "I expect team U.S. to be on the podium. That's for sure".
As an American, I'm encouraged that a legendary champion and sand rider would say something like that. It's impossible to know how well they are riding from edited video clips, but that says something good I believe.

Absolutely. Everts knows what he’s talking about. I’d trust his input over most.
