I don't understand how you define (thinner) If Rc raced and won so many times no one was ever a contender. So just cause he killed every one, how do you define a thinner class?
Cause there was not other champions or other winners? No there was not cause he won everything.

There are no weak fields in the premier class. You have to be in it to win it. RD raced everybody that lined up, RV, Stewart, Reed, Windham, Tomac, Roczen, Musquin....

Tomac and RV were always faster than Dungey, but RV jacked his knee early in 12, missing the whole outdoor series. Then Tomac jacked his shoulder at Colorado, both in their primes giving Dungey huge gifts. Then RV retired super early. Dungey was great, but RV and Tomac always schooled him when they were healthy.

Dungey reads this thread while sipping a margarita in a coozie made of $100 dollar bills, on a pool chair made of $100 dollar bills, in a pool lined with $100 dollar bills, in the backyard of a house built on...you get the picture. Ryan's results and financials speak for themselves. And his charitable contributions are second to none. So he likely sleeps very peacefully and spends very little time wringing his hands over his win ratios against RV and Eli.

Yeah, the points are what matters. However, it took Dungey breaking his neck for Eli to make that happen. Out of the six motos they raced together in 2016 Dungey beat out Tomac 5 - 1 and won an overall while he was at it.
You're right though. It's just that the way you said it stuck in my craw. That's common here in Vital land though.

In the three races they raced together in 2016, Dungey beat Eli all three times. Then he was out with a neck injury. You know someone is big time desperate and big time pathetic when they hang onto Eli beating a guy who was out for the season after three races with a neck injury. Then some other big time desperado says Tomac put Dungey into retirement. New lows, big time lows.
