What a ____________ move Osborne put on MM25 on the first lap.

What a ____________ move Musquin put on ZO16 on the first lap.

(revised, this was just for discussion...but too many people get butt-hurt about everything)

Osborne was in front of MM. How did he make any move on him?

MM had a brain failure.

What a brilliant move Osborne put on MM25 on the first lap.

How's that?

Osborne showing why he is an ideal pick for team USA for the MXdN - aggressive and no hanging about to overtake fellow competitors (though Osborne was already in front before contact with Marvin).

As for Marvin, I really don't think it would hurt him do some proper strength training during the winter - low reps and sets using the big compound movements that are the foundation of any strong athlete. With stronger muscles comes stronger connective tissue and denser, stronger bones, just the things a pro motocross rider could do with.

Marvin should have backed off once he saw Osborne ahead of him....

Zach pinched him off but Marv didn't back off.

Might have caused him an injury? Anyone know?

Looked to me like Osborne wanted to take a sweeping outside-inside-outside line through the corner. Musquin wanted to lanch from inside to outside, which is why he didn't really turn off the face.

Osborne was following the turn, Marv would have been nearly backwards by the time he landed, no way Osborne could have seen that coming

This right here.

If the first post is any indication of what the off season will be like, we're in for a long ride till January.

It is a racing incident, but both came hot, and Osborne came from the outside to the inside, while Musquin was already commited to the inside. Anyway it happens at light speed and decisions are made in milli seconds, Osborne's move was not aiming to take Musquin out. What I do agree with is Musquin could have been less "hot", because with a 10 points gap on Roczen he had the 2nd spot already secured after his great 1st moto.

Anyone who thinks that was Zacks fault probably thinks it is was Stewys fault for running into Dungey.

I think Marvin came in hot, and the hole closed before he got there. He was definitely charging.

Which was a huge mistake on his part... He had 2nd in points locked in after that first moto. He wanted to be a hero and go 1-1 rather than manage the points.

He took a chance by going for it early on a track that was pretty tough to pass on.

Yeah, but no... He already had proven that he could reel in the other 2 fastest guys and beat them in a long moto. Just my opinion, he made a bonehead move by trying to win the race in the first 3 corners. You know the old saying....

Reynard doesn't deserve to be linked to such a bad take.

The funniest part of this thread is that someone's complaining about Marvin being cross-jumped.

This is like the third or fourth time moose did a soil sample on the first lap. At least he goes for it.

That the guys on the track have a better view than we do of what's actually happening? That one? Wink

I agree. MM25 was trying to get to the front as fast as he could and made a poor decision in the moment.

It does seem though only Roczen can pull off moves like that in the opening half of a lap! Smile

I would not be surprised if MM was thinking about that. Even Eli commented that Kenny goes so fast at the beginning of the race.
