Does it also work on a 2-stroke? Will they come for an sx250 2019?

Ordered a set for my '18 RMZ450. Been reading about these for a long time, going back to JGR setting the bike up initially.

I might not be fast anymore, but I can trick my bike out! LOL. Funny how that works...back when I was actually decent at racing I didn't have any money and rode bone stock bikes. Now I'm old and slow and trick my bikes out.

finally today i rode my 19 crf 450 with the mounts on. Bike change it is easier to ride i can lean with more confidence but the thing that give me a laugh is that i can use an aggressive map on hard pack terrain very impressive how engine mounts change the ride. Now i have to ldial with suspension click for a nice fine tuning .I suggest to buy

I have a set for my 19 KX450, and wasn't able to do a real before/after test because I had a couple weeks of time since the last ride on the old mounts. I will say though that the one thing I think is different is cornering. I feel like it is easier to initiate the turn-in, and even change from one line to another (deciding between ruts late based on what the guy ahead decides). Bike just seems a little more like the 2 stroke I came off of in nimbleness than I remember it. And I've been better at getting into and staying leaned in rutted corners since as well. I haven't done anything else though so I dunno. I would definitely buy again if I had my money back. Bike feels unreal.

Ordered mine last week, keen to test them out once in the land down under. Went soft and medium fronts for my 18 crf250r. Michael Lindsay, do you have a torque spec recommend or just factory spec

Did you get uppers also?

For the soft lowers I did stock torque spec.

For the medium lowers I did -2ftlb from stock

The soft uppers I did stock torque but ML recommended -2ftlb first.

If you can try riding stock then switch them at the track. Interested to hear your thoughts.

I did 2 motos on stock, then changed the uppers with 1 moto, changed the lowers and did 2 motos. Really fun to feel the changes. I did some suspension changes as the mounts changed as well.

That's exactly my plan after watching J walks YouTube vid. After watching his video that's what pushed me to try them. I have played with stock mounts with various holes drilled in them before on my old 2010 crf250r, but these fcp mounts look too bitchin to me to refuse

These aren’t FCP, these are all from Works Chassis Lab.

Has anyone put these on a 2019 YZ 450? Looking for a review but do not see one anywhere?

Got a chance to install my mounts and ride my RMZ at Red Bud over the weekend. Being sandy RB isn't the perfect test track, but I certainly did notice a very positive change!

My one question remaining is, why would the OEMs build these bikes so rigid in the first place? This goes for all of them not just Zook...

AMA guys have to run a production frame, it's a good bet the frames are set up for faster riders. Why the factories dont use triple clamps, engine mounts, and bolts to make them softer for us slow people? Idk. Maybe most of the test riders for the factories are retired pros? I like my older KTM frame. KXF frame felt like it was a huge I beam. Hondas will rattle my teeth out.

Maybe they arent stiff? Maybe its placebo effect, the power of suggestion? Has anyone actually found a mechanical method for measuring all this flex?

Maybe take a friend to the track, have them remove the engine mounts and cover them with duct tape... no peaking, then run a few laps,. come back in and have your friend randomly swap them in and out and cover them up again.

Its called a blind experiment, used to work around subjective conclusions.

CAREFUL PEOPLE!
LOOKS can be DECEIVING!!
Changing the Torque Spec can bring a different feel.
Unless said Motor Mounts & or Engine Hangers are modeled & run through proper Engineering FEA Analysis you may be buying parts on looks & appearance alone!!
Most mortals won’t even feel a big difference for the Price.
Again, just cause it’s Pretty doesn’t mean it’s so!!

All these mods and forces can be simulated in a cad program like solid works etc......

lol thats exactly what i was about to post, none of these vet turkeys would have any idea blind swapping parts like this. id even like to see the same test with michael with 3 different versions and the stockers

That’s a proper design step, however, there’s more to it than that!!
Example:
I know a Prominent Company yrs ago who had Billet Wheels built overseas in China.
I won’t mention their name.
The Samples looked Great.
They looked Factory!!
I told them to use Caution, based on my experience, etc.
To properly have the wheels reverse engineered & run through analysis was
around $20 Grand.
They also, thought my suggestion was overkill!!
Needless to say, they didn’t listen.
At the end of the day, they wish they had listened to me..it would’ve been money well spent as their whole Wheel Deal was a Total Flop.
Moral to the Story?
Looks are Deceiving.
Quality Costs👌
