We've all heard of the Michigan Mafia, well how many of you guys know about the Michigan Madman?

His bikes were featured on the History Channel American Pickers. He put a Chevrolet V8 engine in his bike at the tender age of 19 years old and would do a burnout for the length of the drag strip on the brink of near disaster! Woohoo

That thing looks like it'd suck your nipples off if you leaned over it a little too much.

Wow! I'd never heard of this guy. Basically strapped himself to a small block Chevy and sent it!

Can’t even be the same thing. The boss hoss has to be governed so much to have a 350 on a bar stool. Probably all sound and no power

His brother was killed on a bike very similar to that one. The first versions were direct drive, you just pushed it off the stand to make it go. My dad saw him and his brother race a few times at Grattan back in the 60's when it was a dragstrip. Long before my time. He moved from bikes to tractor pulling. His stuff looked like garbage, he used old Allison aircraft engines, one of his tractors had 2 Allison's on it. EJ was a strange dude, pretty damn smart, but quite strange. He is a Mid Michigan legend.

I showed this to my Dad who used to race Drags in the 60's. He saw him once at a local strip, he had taken a 57 Plymouth and installed an Allison Aircraft engine with a tugboat clutch in it. Said what little they spoke, Dad could tell the guy was very smart, and liked to think outside the box on virtually every aspect of anything. Wasn't afraid of going fast either......
