After the delayed showing of Spring Creek, and opposed to what the TV schedule showed things were changed. I checked my guide for future races and none were coming up. I contacted NBC SN to find out why the guide showed no more races and the rsponse was that for the rest of the season the races will only be available on NBC Sports Gold. We just went backwards 20 years.🖕

Hi J,

Thanks for reaching out,
It looks like the content coming up is exclusive to NBC
Sports Gold and will not be on NBC Cable content.
Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks,
Youssef

There will be those that will say we should be thankful that we get to see anything in real time at all. Rubbish. The TV package for the Nationals the last few years has been a yard sale.

I get the marketing reasons, but it still sucks for viewers. First motos on one network, second motos on another- sometimes live, sometimes delayed, full packages available by subscription that works perfectly every time except for when it doesn't.

For the most part I've given up and watch the 6 minute highlights after the fact. Sucks, but saves most of my frustration.

I really think they could do better.

They're all still televised if you look at each race. MAV TV for the 1st motos and NBC or NBC SN for moto2's. However, most Moto 2 showtime's seem to be delayed a few hours at most.

So, frustrating as fuck, I know, but you still get to watch them on television without NBC Gold.

Our sport is tiny and niche. They offer live race coverage without any ad interruptions all season. If you chose to not watch it that way it’s on you.

“I pay $200 a month for cable TV, I’m not paying for the app!” Okay, have fun with that. If you ignore the solution and continue to complain, then there just is no hope getting it through to you.

You are misinformed. The rest of the season's 2nd motos will still air on NBCSN. So don't worry about that. Oh, and do yourself a favor and stop paying for cable and get YouTube TV. You get all of supercross, NBCSN (plus a TON of other sports networks), can share will up to 5 accounts, unlimited DVR (mine correctly recorded the Millville motos even though they were delayed), and it's only $35/month (which again, you can split with friends/family).

Also....Just get the dang app. It's soooo much better watching through the app. Never miss a thing.

I'll piggy back on this by also suggesting IPTV. I cut the cable a few months ago and finally settled on Next Level IPTV. There is no DVR function, which is the only downfall I've noticed so far. I can deal with that when I get 2000 channels across the US for $7.99/mo. So I've taken a cable/internet package from $200+ down to $93. There are always ways to watch, you just might have to sacrifice a little if you don't want to purchase the app.

As far as misinformed, I pasted the direct response from NBC SN in the lower portion of my post. I contacted them, because my preset recordings after last weekend disappeared on My Dish. There were no broadcast listings in the guide, search or on NBC SN .com. The sport has taken the backseat to tittllywinks on all the networks to date, but at least aired and had reruns. Even the reruns are gone. If I watched some other sport it work be different. Even poker outrank MX/SX.

The first month after you cut the cord the savings will probably offset the cost of a Gold subscription. All MX, all SX, and the MEC live with no commercials. Oh, and you get practice/qualifying live, too.

Internet uploads ... problem solved. Last week when they had moto 2's at midnight, my direct TV jacked up and second 450 moto was not recorded. There were 3 uploads on the site I visit when Direct TV messes up the recording schedule and I watched one of them Sunday am

I went ahead and spent the money to buy the gold app, by far best money I’ve spent no hassles with any of the races no commercials, and you get to watch the qualifiers live. I’ll definitely buy it again for supercross and nationals next year. So worth it in my opinion.

NBC SPORTS APP! It works out to 7.08 a month. End of discussion!!

10 years ago if ANYONE offered anything where you could watch every minute of qualifying and every Moto and Main event uninterrupted, you all would have paid 250.00 a year to have such access, including myself.

You’ve been spoiled by YouTube and other free shit and say I’m not paying a “whopping” 84.95 a year when I should get it for free because I have cable. (Insert eye roll to all your entitlements) You waste 100.00 a month on needless pointless shit every month. We all do. To say you can’t pay 7.08 a month for a sport you supposedly love is ridiculous. Either pay it or shut up. I’ve got it and I’ll definitely renew for next year. Best coverage ever!! If you’re completely cheap, go in with a friend and split it and come up with a password for both of you to share. Can you handle 3.54 a month?????

The same people complaining about having to pay 84.95 a year are the same ones starting the threads about how all the riders aren’t paid enough, yet you want everything for free.

How much did the sport grow when it aired on FS1 and network Fox? Did dealers sell more motorcycles and riders make more money? NOT offering a streaming OPTION would be counterintuitive in a time where everyone lives on their mobile devices.

I recorded the 2nd motos this past weekend on my NBC sports and they came on at midnight Saturday night. Luckily I had already watched them on the app because when I went to watch them, My dvr and guide showed Motocross from Millville but it was 2 hours of formula 1 racing. Then with 3 minutes left of the recording, AC appeared and the opening segment of the motos came on.

After getting the app not sure why anyone would want to watch SX and MX any other way. Good ol regual cable with all those commercials seems out dated now...

Also did this. Cut cable about a year ago. Went from $110/month to $50/month with hulu tv on my rokus. Even after buying the $100 sx/mx package its still a fraction of cable tv. Dont know why people are still paying for cable tbh.

Because most people are uninformed. They don’t know how cool and easy Roku sticks are and all the new ways out there to watch TV.

Cable TV is the equivalent CD’s and cassettes. Who buys those anymore? Everyone just downloads these days. Desk top to lap top computers.....other than gamers and offices, who uses a desk top anymore? Takes a while for everyone to catch on. Cable TV places like Dish and Direct TV are WAY down in numbers compared to 5 and 10 years ago.

I have a desk top connected to my living room TV. I can do absolutely anything with that setup.

I’m not saying they aren’t useful, I’m saying lap tops are more common these days.

after this weekends TV miss-hap I watched it just fine on youtube the next morning. Straight from someones Gold App who uploaded the broadcast. It was perfect, just like I would be watching if I had purchased the app.

To be fair, this is also part of the reason the sport will stay tiny, and niche.

I’m in no way, shape, or form disagreeing that for established fans this is well worth the money, and if you don’t want to pay for it take what you get.

Just saying good luck attracting new fans when the only other way to watch is by still paying for some sort of tv package, and then watching half the event live on one channel, and having the 2nd half of the event non live, 10 hours later, on a different channel.

There’s a reason you don’t typically see many, if any other sports following this model.

Not saying moto would become a mainstream sport by doing it like other sports, but they certainly aren’t doing themselves any favors by doing it this way.
