If CS14 is done at HRC what about him? Where else does he go? Retirement?

From my understanding, JS17 has been offered 1 year by HRC and 2 years by JGR. I’m a huge HRC fan but why would you take a 1 year deal? Here’s my holy shit thought.... CS14 retires and HRC hires CC (as long as WADA doesn’t fuck him). I think there’s going to be at least one WTF moment.

JS17 is going to HRC on a 1 year deal with the option of 2 (pending results). CC WILL NOT be going to HRC he is quite content at GEICO since he has very close ties to the team.

I read this morning that it’s looking like Wilson will possibly be going to JGR

I cannot help but think for the money JGR spends on Reed they could hire 2 mid pack guys who may grow into racers who can compete for recent results. A guy like Ben LaMay comes to mind... probably cheap as hell and with good results.

I'd be surprised if Dean Wilson ends up on JGR. He seems to be doing fairly well with his role at Husky as apparently he makes more $ than some people would think if we total up money from sponsorships etc.

JGR needs reed and another high profile rider to score a decent title sponsor

By the sounds of it their title sponsor is coming from Teasdale.

Plus, Coy said in a recent interview with Matthes that their model of going for higher profile riders hasn't panned out the way they wanted, so they would try moving in a different direction.

They have had mid pack guys every season for the past few years! I agree with others, they need a top 7 rider to help them gain a title sponsor.

I think that's the point. Barcia and HIll weren't supposed to be mid pack guys. They paid them as potential Title contenders in their respective classes.

James Stewart, Davi Millsaps, Justin Barcia, and Hill were paid to win.

Plus, if rumors are true, they do not need a top tier rider to secure a title sponsor as the sponsor is coming on board with the signing of Teasdale.

Teasdale as in Teasdale Foods? If that's the case, it's an interesting sponsor. Will absolutely try to support them.

No. Isaac Teasdale. They're supporting him. Next year he's bringing some Native American casino sponsor to the team.

Reed brings a lot of press and fans. Good for JGR. He also probably does not even care about a salary. Just being on the team is all he needs to do his farewell tour.

They do need another rider that can challenge for some top-five finishes though.

My understanding is he is getting JGR kitted bikes, not the full ride.

Still can’t see out of one eye. Not looking good unless there is a breakthrough.

I would bet my piggy bank that Reed`s deal is waaaay less than people may think. He is in it for the love of racing, he don`t need the money. He wanted to race on someone else`s dime, probably not a whole lot more than that, I bet.

It's always been wild to me, that a multi million dollar company (Casinos) tell teams like RCH (Sycuan) and JGR (Cherokee) that we will write you a massive check to be title sponsor, but only if you sign a rider who barely cracks the top 20. I.E. Partridge and Teasdale. Like what makes those guys so appealing to a company? This is not a knock, just a serious question.

Connections and/or someones pet project.

Obviously Cherokee isn't going to make a dime back on this sponsorship. But when you have some cash to burn and the right connections then that's how what you described happens.

He's barely cracking the top 20 now but by the end of next year he could definitely be cracking top tens.
