Yep, pretty sure you would feel stupid being able to keep Eli behind you for 15 minutes...shame on them for trying, they should just pull over when Eli comes up on them.

I agree that everybody should fight for position but Webb constantly cross jumping and swerving has got to be pissing other riders off.
I'll be very surprised if someone doesn't completely clean him out before the season is over.

Yes, what you said. Some of the stuff Webb does is stupid.

If someone is clearly faster than you (and in better shape) then yes, let them go by and latch on to them. Follow their lines and try to match their speed. Learn something. Don't just try to block them. It is easier to follow someone anyway.

Hindering a rider who is going faster than you just wears you out quicker and serves no purpose unless your hope is to make the person behind you crash or something.

Do you really think Webb thought he would hold off Tomac for the whole race? He finished 35 seconds behind Tomac and has faded badly at the end almost every race.

Last couple laps? Yea, a whole different story. Do what you need to do.

If you are Webb or any of the KTM guys, don't you think that they are instructed to make it as hard as possible for Tomac, Roczen, etc.? Especially with MM clearly in it for the overall week after week? Same goes for Star Yamaha, they have a deep team.

There is perhaps some wisdom in letting someone who is clearly faster by and then using your energy to try copy them to get better rather than week after week, exploding your heart to be a road block and then having nothing for the rest of the moto....

I think this same thing every weekend they race. Once you look at it this way, it looks pretty obvious.

Anytime Webb gets passed he all of a sudden has another gear and usually passes back or at least hounds the guy for 1/2 a lap. Where's that other gear for the rest of the race?

Please just tell them to hold their line. If someone can pass them, that is racing, but blocking will end with injury or conflict. The creative riders will find ways around slower riders, but blocking riders change the completion of the race.

I do like that Eli put a little extra mustard on that Anderson pass. Like here ya go fuck-o.

Interesting that Anderson said a tick off speed wise - probably correct. But that tick for another 15 minutes is the actual issue. Hence it might be better to actually follow the guy and see what he’s doing.

Fuck that. Riders like Webb and Anderson make for good racing. Eli needs to take a page out of 2016 Roczen's book in regards to the first couple laps of the moto. Kenny made short work of the field, regardless of where he started, within the first lap or 2 whereas Eli takes the entire moto to work his way towards the front from a bad start. Easier said than done but the clinics Kenny would put on in the first lap or two of a race where mind blowing to say the least.

I'm getting pretty tired of hearing about Webbs first outdoor season on a KTM. Wasn't this also his first supercross season on a KTM. I got it he had the off season and MEC to prep for supercross, but still it seems like a weak excuse considering he won the SX title. I'm a Webb fan, I'm just tired of people making excuses for him. Just my opinion. No offense to redneck, I agree with most everything you said, just tired of hearing the commentators say this about Webb and you just happened to also say it.

Nothing wrong with what Webb and Anderson are doing. That being said I thought Webb would be better and actually argued with people on here about how he just needed a few rounds to be at the top level but I was wrong.
