In this kind of situation to take the right decision in a split of second is really challenging, and I am glad Ferrandis took the best one. I guess the "fan" was a bit surprised that riders are not robots. It is a weird time we live in because with so much desinformation i think people are becoming more and more crazy and disrespectful ; most of the time i go outside i am puzzled by the level of stupidity some people can reach.

Exactly this.

I was in Red Bud last year for the MXON. Was amazed how some people were huge fans of the European riders. Most of them were very respectful about anyone we talked about and asked us a lot of questions regarding their performances in the GP's.

However, also had a few short conversations with some (drunk) 'fans' that literally said horrible things about Herlings/Cairoli in my face. I guess that you have people with common sense and straight idiots in any sport.

Ferrandis handled this well. Just imagine packing all your stuff, leave your family to chase your dream in the States and get flipped over by some assholes like that. I would give them the finger as well

Just wondering, how come everyone assumes that when a foreigner gets flipped off, that its because they're a foreigner? Maybe he was an AC fan? Seems a little more rational and likely to hate someone because they're your favourite riders biggest competition than because they're foreign.

Nobody freaked out when I posted the pic of the fan giving Alessi the finger at Riverglade a few years ago Whistling

Not saying its okay because its not, just wondering why everyone assumes that its because they're a foreigner.

Exactly. People are assuming that's the reason, though it would not surprise me if it was, none of us know. And let's face it, flipping someone off is not as bad as what James Stewart went through.

AND do any of us know ANYTHING about the scenario? No, not at all. For all we know they are friends and screwing around with each other like so many people do these days.

How about someone who knows Dylan go ask him? And ask him if he is 'offended' or even cares one bit.

I guess the disease of 'being offended' has now infiltrated MX. I thought we were a tough bunch???

Stay classy Massholes! Wow, and people wonder why big companies don't want to sponsor teams. Yeah, let's sponsor the fringe sport with zero diversity!

Marvin uncomfortably laughing "thank you."

Mm rules. Cheer for who you want but man it takes a rare level asshole to act like those two did to any top level rider just because of the lack of respect for the talent you just had a front row seat to be wowed by.

Chappelle is the best to come along in a long time- that being said, it's time for safe spaces at the Nationals, jeez people it's just not that big of deal. I guarantee you that df has long forgotten it by now.

Love the track but it is a shithole part of the state. A pack of white trash trailer monkeys that cant handle that these french riders kill it with both feet on the pegs the entire track. My hope is that most of these idiots don't find their way South into Connecticut

Not surprising coming from an uncultured America who voted a racist into office.

Historically, and proven time and time again, the AMA & MX Sports have haphazardly enforced the rules and doled out punishments. He needs to be careful, I don't think Ryan Dungey would have responded to the @ssholes. I am a Ferrandis fan, but "Conduct detrimental to the sport" is a very grey area.

Ya this is bad on the riders . Act professional. Mx riders act like this from no school and no social development. Mx is a die8ng sport as it is. And when pros are acting like babies it dont help.

Yeah back when Reed was at his peak I had a guy yelling at me that all Reed fans were racists, I laughed at his ignorance. I mean if you're a real Reed fan you know he's aboriginal right?

I drove up to great barrington afterwards. Theory wellness dispensary ftw...

I can't think of a nicer place I've been through in recent memory. Almost every house looked completely classic and well kept. Definitely seemed like a moneyed area. Large beautiful homes with space between them. Probably what my area in ny looked like when my parents grew up.

Definitely didn't see any white trash style hovels.

I would have loved to see Ferrandis roost the shit out of this guy, a mouth full of Southwick sand would have shut him up for a lap or two.

At least French actor/director Guillaume Canet (big MX fan) and Marion Cotillard's husband was there (bottom left) cheering for the Frenchies ! That's cool and kind of big news in France. Dude is super popular here, and so is his wife.

This place is getting softer.

Moderators, thanks for not editing "white trash". Are you going to do the equivalent in the wheelie boyz threads? Never. HA HA.

A fair amount of New Englanders don't like French Canadians (because they are rude to us when we visit Montreal) so maybe they are lumping him in with that group.
