oh and i used the oem exhaust bolt, the FMF one starts getting too short when you start adding spacers...

OE bolt with the rubber damping and FMF bracket looks solid! Can also throw a lock-nut on the remaining threads for 100% peace of mind...

No sir that can is a work of art, mines aluminum I bought a aluminum slip on then bought a titanium header... The full system was on back order I couldn't wait so I bought them separately lmao

By the way, I think I'm gonna anodize the header with voltage. I can get a lot more color options and it will be smoother. I'm aiming for toxic green, never seen an exhaust with that color.

That'll be sweet, I've played around with anodizing like that but don't have a good power source for the green... I am gonna be anodizing some aluminum when I get the time

You can get green with about 100V.

Super pumped to join the club, first ride tomorrow at Southfork MX. No grease in anything the air filter wasn't even oiled, yet the mechanic said it was "ready to go rip"...glad I paid $400 shipping/setup fee lol.

What's the consensus on must do's or watch out fors? Also service manual for download anywhere?

Yeah gotta use a drill or buffer, u can do it by hand but it's a long process I've tried it all...

I’ve seen people do it without problems. I buy rubber o-rings and pull it over the outer fork tube onto the leg, works very well and gentle on coatings. Only have to take one fork off. Could probably just slide the fork up and do it without fully removing fork. The o-ring doesn’t stretch and stays planted on the fork leg even after going over the outer fork tube.

What is the best type of buffer / pad material? too many options.

I wouldn’t use a zip ty.... if you bottom out the fork it could damage the dust seal 🤷🏻‍♂️ Not to mention the extra wear on the DLC coating.

You can drop the front wheel, remove the axle pinch bolts, the RH fork guard and "roll" the o-ring over the RH fork lug and re-assemble as well.

Zip-Ties work in an emergency but because of what @dancolvin633 noted above ^^^ they should be replaced with an o-ring. Scariest part of the zip-tie route is cutting it off and not nicking the slider coating.

Given what I and my friends have found in their new '19 KX450 forks as far as inconsistent and low fork oil level, I can't help but highly recommend getting some A15-00 oil, draining each leg into a clean measuring container and refilling to at least the 310ml amount the manual states. Mine was 225/285 (LH/RH legs) or somewhere close to that out of the box (posted some pages back).

Yeah it definitely makes the bike more comfortable and turn better. It does seem to put a little more weight on the front I need to stiffen my forks some more next time.

A genuine question, the cracking subframe is pretty well known since day one of the 19 KX 450? Haven't there been any talk about Kawasaki doing a recall with a stronger muffler hanger from the factory?

Anyways, there are some very nice bikes in this thread! The FMF Ti system looks awesome on the KX.

I can't imagine Kawasaki would recall or even change the bracket as it works perfectly for the stock system. I don't think anybody has broken the tab with a stock can. Mine has almost 30 hours on it with no issues. It is and should be up to the aftermarket companies to design a rubber mounting system that doesn't break the bracket.
