Anyone have any info whatsoever about them or any of those guys whereabouts these days? I have some questions about set up of a mid-eighties KX and all research leads me back to those guys.

Note, Harry Klemm was Team grean porting same era I believe.
I called Dave Millers shop about 2-3 years back and asked about porting my 1983 kx125 to his specs,,since I had found a rare DMC pipe for the bike...and they sounded totally lost. No notes on what they did in the 80s..
Another strong 1985 KX125 I had back in 85/86 was done by Barr's Competition,,they are still at it in Shelby N Carolina. That motor had the widest powerband,,with stock pipe/ silencer and carb. It ripped and was easy to keep on pipe.

Today,,if I want work in ports or cylinder I turn to Eric,,,he's made it his passion and continues to carry on working on old stuff making it better. He's easily the most affordable for the work he does too. Maybe I got the wrong person on phone when I called DMC...but it didn't sound like they where interested in a 30 year old 2 stroke with there name on the pipe.
someone also suggested tom morgan at millennium for porting a kawasaki 125 the other day.
i emailed eric twice around 6 weeks ago and never got a reply.

I raced/ rode a 86 KX250 with a few TUF parts
like the KX250 above, PSI out of WI also sold a ton
of parts.
There was a full on DMC 87 KX125 at Leo’s Kawasaki on the showroom floor, I had a deposit
on , but I then switched it to a new KX250

Was recently looking at some of one of my favourite riders posts, the legendary mini cycle champ Paul Denis and saw that he was meant to have had some crazy battles with Dave Miller riding one of his DMC's. That sounds so fascinating and think Paul posted that some of the battles they had were unseen, which may have been on practice tracks etc.
Seemed really interesting to me that- my word, how talented can you get being able to build bikes to such a high standard AND ride them?!
Wouldn't think many people could have really got too close to Paul Denis when he was at the top of his game!
I always thought the bright orange seat covers and plastics looked so cool on TUF Kawasakis.
Barnett468, thanks for sharing, nice bike!

Mid 80's @ Redbud, 125cc off the "Ski Jump" ...
A picture of me from my High School year book, they did a little story about me because I went to Loretta Lynn's that year. 125cc Jr. class ...
My memory might be a bit off, but I think Dave was a factory Penton rider and worked with Donny Emler back in the day when Penton was working with a Hiro motor. They ran out of parts, Dave wanted to race and the Penda was built.
You will now be returned to the original blog...........
