Teams of all sports have shirts printed up if there is any chance of winning....it's just business.

Welp, until he finds himself locked inside the team hauler armed with a knife ready to kill the first motherf'r that comes through the door then he really doesn't have anything to worry about. Man, those stories Trampas Parker has are epic.Damned Euros were ready to lynch him.

Us Americans are pretty tame compared to the other side of the pond.

Ferrandis handled it like a champ!

I sure hope no one booed the Patriots...I mean those guys worked so hard all year to win the Super Bowl...they deserve cheers from everyone. ...Pinch

I hear you. I know that no country has a monopoly on fuckwits...I just grew up believing that us Americans relished a challenge to rise above. "You may beat me today but I won't quit til I win". This would be a good question for Roger and that first group of Euro's that came here and handed us our ass. Did they get boo'd or mistreated?

Except die. Over half a million of them. Lucky for us we had those big old Atlantic/Pacific Oceans between us and Germany/Japan...cause we weren't any more ready than France. Best just to not bring up stuff like this.Blush

I only read the comments on the first page so forgive me if somebody else mentioned this, but the boos did not start until Dylan said something negative about Adam always crashing. I don’t member exactly what was said, but it sounded like a little jab at Adam and that’s when the boos erupted

I went back to rewatch because I heard the boos start- all he said was for his mechanic to put AC's place on his pit board like always. He then also said he couldn't believe it when the position started dropping.

It definitely was not a jab at AC.

That changes things a bit, if true.

I wasn't there and didn't see the podium interview but I haven't seen Dylan show anything but class and respect for his fellow racers this year. Gibby was there...what went down boss?

"I asked my mechanic to just tell me what AC does (crowd starts booing)... when he was showing P4, when I saw P10, P20, I was like no, it was not possible, I just tried to stay focused, the emotions were difficult to control"

I'm proud to correct you and let you know that in a prior comment, this Vitard did mention alcohol as one potential factor ?

I'm an AC fan and was also bummed when he went down, but you couldn't help but be happy for Ferrandis. I've seen people win and overplay their excitement, but this was raw emotion. His whole team swarmed him on the track and it was very cool to witness. I'm stoked for the dude.

Regardless of what your history teacher told you, there's plenty of French folk out there who refuse to surrender and they will fight to the end with all they have to win.the war. They're here to win and they don't give a damn who's feelings get hurt. ?

Yep, tack on heroic French efforts and massive losses from just a few years earlier in WW1 as well to make the case that the French were fighters. Tough times they were.

It wouldn't be racist anyway since he is white and I'm guessing all the people booing were probably white. That's not racism. Its more like they were xenophobes.

He is speaking in German. This is an American website and most of it's members are American. Provide complete translation, or it's useless for most people.
Regardless of what's in the video, if there was booing it wasn't that much and Europeans have done much worse to Americans. European riders in America are treated just as good and just as loved as American riders. Cooper Webb and Eli Tomac get hateful comments all the time from americans that don't like them. Americans don't pick on Europeans or treat them worse. This whole thing is being blown out of proportion and europeans that are so "outraged" over this are just being hypocrites.
Is Roczen calling Americans "Yankees" or is it you? I'd like to know, please.

He's calling Americans, Yankees, not Roczen.

I've seen it in another thread before.

Then he's just one of the hypocrites. I wonder if he's smart enough to see how obvious it is. Thanks for the answer and the feedback.

That was after the booing. Go back and watch when Will starts interviewing him.
When they are interviewing one rider for tv, they are interviewing a separate rider over the loudspeaker for the crowd.

2 interviews are going on at the same time with 2 different riders, one for tv and one for the crowd.

So any crowd reaction heard on tv is not for that rider, but for the rider talking to the crowd. That means unless you were at the race, its impossible to tell who the crowd is booing during an interview (if they even are). This is a fact not an opinion /thread

WAAAAAA Fans booood WAAAAAAAA.

I remember Jimmy Button and John Dowd getting food and bottles thrown at them in Italy.

It’s not racism, Xenophobia or any other politically correct bull sheit reason. It’s callef national pride, the US needs a bit more.

The pussification of America continues.

By the way, Ferrandis is a bad dude and deserves the title.

I didn't read all these pages and I'm a fan of all the riders, but sometimes I want to start boo'ing when Marv and Dylan interview on the podium and a simple question turns into a 4 minute answer! Man those two can sure go on and on!! Laughing

Again... you cant tell who the crowd boos on tv, as the rider talking to the crowd is separate from the rider talking to the camera.

Not sure what video you're talking about but in this video he doesn't say a word about Ferrandis or "Yankees".
He explains his season and the problems he had after the Lime incident.
