Yep. That interview afterwards was incredible too.
Heartbreaking really. Feel bad for the kid. That said...I don't feel bad for Forkner....two very different people.

I feel so bad for the guy but I don't understand why he was pushing so hard for the W when he didn't need too. Daniel Blair and RC really gave him the commentator's curse by waxing poetic about how much better his race craft has been this year.

I hate his bike was butchered, I was so excited to see the lap times that were about to go down post-crash. Could he have come back if only his lever had to be fixed or something.... we will never know.

Don’t you have some downhills to scrub?

I do not see much shit talking at all. AC is a cool dude, looks to me like everyone feels bad for him.

I don't think he was pushing for the win, he needed a 5th (i think) to secure it with Dylan in the lead, and 4th 5th and 6th were not far behind him.

Forsure he was racing when that happened, either he just made his way into the championship position and thought shit ok it’s mine, or he just mentally shut down he lost focus. Lost it. It’s really insane and I feel for him as a racer. Sun came up today like he said tho and hopefully he’s ready to put on the boots and put himself into a championship contender like he did. He was the absolute best at the east went shoot out on a coast he doesn’t race on. And won 5(?) races I believe which matches Forkner. Mitch has to be spinning. Major bad luck year when he’s used to winning so much and having dominate racers. Better luck next year but I’m sure it’s one everyone over there at pc remembering.

Anyone talking shit can fuck right off, that dude put his heart and soul into this championship and lost it with a freak crash. I still can’t figure out what happened, just a weird deal totally out of his control. He then gives an incredibly collected interview and kept himself totally in check, that’s damn impressive and there’s no way in hell I would have ever been able to do that. People can call it a choke if they want but I don’t think that was the case at all, we don’t race in a perfect world, things can and do happen totally out of anyone’s control and sometimes this is the result. If it was easy, everyone would do it.

I lost a major race recently from a thrown chain and was damn near in tears because I had worked so hard to be in the position to win, I can’t even image what was going through his head with that much pressure on him and so much invested physically and mentally. To kick someone when they’re down like that is a complete bitch move, he held is composure incredibly well and I’ve got nothing but respect for him. He’ll be a a serious contender on the big bikes, no doubt in my mind and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional. Money and fame doesn’t drive passion like that, he’s in it for the right reasons and won’t take no for an answer.

You see lots of spoiled kids these days in his age on the streets, in schools, at MX tracks..., Usually parent's fail to raise their kids up like they suppose to, they gave them everything but didn't want anything back...
Adam had everything when he was a kid. Parents giving him 100%, factory support, everything. He could act like an idiot in nowadays 'standards' and it would be ok-ish. But he's just grown to a really nice, humble person. Very smart and intelligent. I see that especially in these kind of interviews. How old is he? 22? Well done. Huge credit to him and his parents to raise a kid like he is. I would be proud of that fact alone as a parent, with or without those MX titles.
He sure will get far in his life. Great work & Good luck Adam!

AC is awesome, how can anyone dislike him? As a fan of the sport, i'm truly greatful that we have a guy like that to follow.

As for what happened. The "positive" thing is that this is "only" a regional 250 title that he lost. It's pretty much the least prestigious title that a rider on that level could win. It hurts now but he will have bigger things to aim for like an outdoor 250 title or a 450 title when he moves up.

I was a Reddick about the time Adam was the size of the picture. Sat in the stand and started talking to this small but mighty man. I'm an older dude and Adam treated me with the utmost respect. I didn't know who he was until I saw the back of his jersey. He filled me in on the riders that were racing at the moment (450 A) and let me know who was on the gas and who wasn't. Really, really nice young man. Don't generally see young guys treating an older guy with this kind of class. I've been a fan since then.

AC is great for the sport, interview after, good lord, took it on the chin like a man.

His legacy is tarnished by not winning a 250 class championship before moving up. He’s got a long road ahead of him. I just don’t see him being more than a 5-7 guy in 450 before some of the current crop moves on but I am excited to see him ride the big bike.

Agreed AC is a great rider..gutted for him..but there are something like 10 or 11 former or current champions in the 450 class ..I think AC's luck is about like Riczens for the past few years..

At a very emotional, high pressure time, that may be the best-composed, most articulate, well-thought-out answer to an "Agony of Defeat" moment as I've ever seen. What a class act Adam is!

Denny never won a major title — only a regional— telling others about who’s a real man. Wow. Watching AC’s interview, no excuses made, the disappointment with himself, and the sincerity of what he has worked for. The real man ain’t Denny

I'm curious if the center bale on the flat part of the rhythm was pushed out this far the lap prior?

I know Adam wouldn't make excuses, but he's a better rider than that to clip a bale like that. It makes me think the track kept pushing further to the left as the main went on and the bale got pushed out and when he came over he was looking ahead and not realizing the bale was pushed out and ultimately the bale on the tabletop caught his foot peg, and it wasn't so much a lapse of concentration necessarily.

PS: Yes, I know he got cross rutted when he landed, before the Vital experts point that out.

The curiosity is valid regarding the tough block position. I'm not sure about the validity regarding him being better than clipping a tough block. Seems that getting cross rutted removes much of his influence on whether he clips it or not.
