McGrath
Carmichael
Villopoto
Stewart
Dungey
During the above era, the USA was so dominant in the MXoN. At roughly the same time that the US ceded the fastest superstar recognition (to Cairoli and Herlings), we began a strange losing streak in the Olympics of Motocross.
I don't see any superstars on the way up in American Motocross currently--like Carmichael, Stewart, Villopoto, Dungey, etc. Are there some on the horizon? What am I missing?

The next big RC type guy imo will be Ryder Defancesco.
Who is going to stop Webb from going on a run the next 3-4 years? He gets great starts, rarely makes mistakes, is mentally tough and fast as heck. He is your next superstar.
In reality, it’s hard to say who will have a successful transition. It is becoming easier to see because the teams don’t necessarily look for the fastest kid at that point anymore, they look for personality traits and work ethic too.
Glad he's finally putting things together as I'm an AC fan.
Also Forkner with more maturity will destroy everything next year in the 250 class.
Speaking of the amateurs, i don’t see Stylez Robertson as the next big thing. IMO i count four as of right now: Jett Reynolds / Max Vholand / Ryder Di francesco / Jett Lawrence
Pit Row
maturity. Every time he would get passed or pressured, he would freak out and crash. He still had issues last year. Outdoors will be a big test for him. With Forkner out, he is my pick to kick everyone’s ass.
Forkner has been hurt a lot already too. Not good so far. Getting hurt sets them back so much and for a long time.
Look at Webb the last two years. Hurt both years and thus looked bad. This year, no injuries. If Cooper avoids the injuries he is the next superstar for sure.
I've never seen any emotion out of Reynolds he comes across as very boring and bland but i've been told otherwise which is good.
Twist and grip dudes....f’ing entertaining when they not hurt. Really need the “it” factor too.
Takes a lot elements to make a “hero”....looking for a new one. Nothing yet. Respect sure, hero is next level.
Not knocking him either, he is one of my all time favorites!
- The Lawrence brothers
- Jo Shimoda
- Liam Everts
- Bailey Malkiewicz
The whole "American Superstars" status, i see coming through in time that have that edge to them would be Jalek Swoll and Ryder Defancesco. Two guys who carry them selves as likeable people as well as being marketable with their personality.
