Monster Energy Supercross 2

After some more time with the Monster Energy Cup DLC I've made a follow up review with the things that are bothering me the most about it.

Are they going to fix the Monster Cup?

Also how many more DLCs/patches can we expect?

I was hoping this game would get supported until the fall with stuff.

It’s only been a freaking month since the last update, and a dlc just came out. Honestly that inside line is slower anyways mid line you can rail thru.. so for us fast guys it’s almost not an issue. Well passing can’t happen there.. give them a few weeks for another update.
It’s not like they’re teasing updates and fake dlcs ? online is pretty solid now too.. after only a few months too?

If you go to the games web site and the Buy Now link, it lists only one other DLC "The Playground". With that I think it is the end of DLC that has at least been advertised. I think those that bought the season pass were promised 9 or 10 DLC, which most was the rider outfits.

Yeah, I figured out taking the mid line is fastest - it was just irritating when you'd get too close and crash or get pushed out for no reason. Have you been able to quad monster alley?

I see that now.. the playground.

What is that going to be? Any ideas? Was something like this added last year? I assume we'll get that probably next month, but I don't know why they couldn't support the game further. It hasn't been out 3 months yet ya know?

i have tried everything to quad into monster alley and imo it won’t happen. the bike just drops. the best i’ve got is casing it. and my experience is exactly the way you described in your video. the AI does the same speed boost extra momentum thing on the other colleseam dlc too. the sand doesn’t rut up like say the sand the track editor offers or some of the other sand sections in the game. i wouldn’t be surprised if someone has quaded into monster alley but it seems quite impossible to me.

I have tried and tried and tried again with every bike and it honestly might not be possible. I can get reaaaallly close but just not quite. I’d like to see it done. It would be sweet.

This game is one of the glitchiest racing games between weird in air speed boosts the AI does, random invisible walls on the tracks that kick you in another direction, slowing down on a straight away for no reason, having some gears being in the redline as soon as you shift to them, leaning forward to jump further, the camera being jerky when you "preload" a jump in the middle of a rhythm section... And quite a few other things. It has such potential. But ruts have gone away in the series. AI is becoming more wonky. I think they're trying too hard to push out a new game every year and not getting enough time to put into it and make a real solid effort. And they can't release patch updates because they're working on the next game so each game is what it is pretty much.

As far as trying hard to push out a new game every year - you have to remember that it is probably the license agreement with Feld that requires this. Feld would not want to sit around for two years for licensed game to come missing the hype of each season for sales. If Milestone didn't do it, then some other developer would. It is the same with almost all sports related games.

I would much prefer major releases spread out over years and have downloadable content for new seasons and tracks regularly, but I just don't think that is going to happen.

This game could be the end all be all of supercross games, but it does fall short. It's good, but not great.

It's basically a 40 dollar game for 60 because of the licensing stuff. Which is needed... but still.

They need to kill all bugs and glitches stuff, which wouldn't be too tough to tackle... then give us a couple more DLC tracks...

The content is mostly just clothes, which is cool I guess, but I want more.

I find they got rid of the lean forward to jump further in the latest update? I agree with everything else. I only ride the kawi 450/250 but haven’t noticed a gear redlining too soon. I know the husky sounds like absolute shit since the latest update. I mainly play online so can’t say much about the AI

Dude!!! I thought I was going crazy!! IT still kind of works but only at slow speed. I used to use the lean forward to clear the bigger jumps. It helped a lot

Regarding your statement that if Milestone didn't release a game every year, another developer would... Dude, they're the first developer to release an officially licensed game for our sport since EA Sports did it 20 years ago before they dropped it. Developers weren't exactly chomping at the bit to do this with our sport, sad but true.

I don't think Milestone has the staffing to keep up with this. It get it that Feld doesn't want to wait two years between releases, but it's doing more harm than good with them releasing a game, not patching it much, then moving onto the next one that has its own physics bugs. MXGP 2 and 3 were heading in the right direction. I'm not sure what's happened between then and now, but things aren't getting better with each release.

they have to keep putting games out every year because of the only thing that matters....money. how else are they going to pay the staff? it’s all about money. it’s that simple.

They really need to address these little issues. Turn off downed bike collision while they're at it too?

Downed bike collisions are terrible. I ride thru tuff blocks all the time, it’s when they just start moving it’s an issue, it’s avoidable most the time like above
4/18/2019 4:53pm
You know that the tuff blocks are sentient right? They are actually trying to get you.

Has anyone gone back and played Supercross 1? Did this yesterday and was surprised because I liked it a lot better especially the cornering
4/19/2019 10:10am
I’m just gonna say it. It pisses me off that a European company is making a supercross video game. They don’t understand the sport at all. Day time heat races, all the tracks they create that aren’t replicas are not even close to supercross tracks, why the hell do they have these foreign gear and parts companies in here? I just wish an American company would step up and do something.

Honestly, I played the game for two weeks and haven’t touched it since. I saw the LA Colosseum release but that track looks horrible. No gear updates or releases either. And honestly I have zero desire to pick this game up again. Very little new track editor pieces, shitty berms, stadium sizes are all wrong, I don’t even have any desire to make a track anymore. Plus the physics I feel are much worse that sx1. I hate the air physics, you hit a jump then all of a sudden you just drop straight down.

It just drives me nuts that we have a game that looks as good as this does, but underneath it’s just a turd. And mx vs atv still sucks too. There are so many amazing video games out there, but for motocross people they are all complete ass.

Couldn’t milestone hire at least one or two Americans that are good at building tracks to help with the game? Or instead of completely remaking the game each year, release the same game, with a few tweaks, and updated tracks and riders/gear? That way we don’t have to wait until the next season starts to have a game about the previous season. Instead of reinventing the wheel which takes months alone, just work on the tracks and skins, and they could be released by monster cup of the same year!

I miss MX vs ATV Unleashed for PC. Why did everyone quit playing that? That track editor was amazing. I could play that game for hours and hours.

All you guys do is bitch, bitch, bitch, and more bitching about a series that we're LUCKY to have. The game is fucking great. I love everything about it. Is it perfect? absolutely not. But they are the ONLY ones making a game worth playing, and a DAMN good game too. There are minor bugs, but i can get over them.

I just find it completely hilarious to not even HAVE a supercross or motocross game worth playing, then a company decides put one out, that's well made, and has improved with each release..... and you're going to bitch and complain???? God thats funny.

It's called constructive criticism. Pull your tampon out, quit crying, and learn the difference between criticism and bitching.

We definitely have other games worth playing and have had them in the past. All Out is pretty good when you get the hang of it. MXGP 2 and 3 were great. Reflex was amazing. You live under a rock man?

I love having a new game every year to play, but if they continually get worse, that's not going to be fun is it? You're one of those people that say "at least we have the races on TV! I used to read the results on cycle news 3 months later!"

Is anyone having problems on Xbox with the quick match in multiplayer? I keep getting a communication error with Xbox live even though everything is running fine.

You think mesx 1 is better? The handling in mesx2 is much improved.. copy and paste yet one is better than the other? Constructive criticism? Jk.
But really if you think mesx 1 was better you’re fooling yourself

Keeping trying jrod it should work after 5 tries lol
