Down to 214 from 240 since late feb. Started down body weight exercises couple weeks ago just to get something going physically too. Read some routines on here and decided to do 10x sit ups, push ups, and squats, morning and night. And add 1 rep each week. Am up to 13 each now.

Also picked up a rower finally been talking about it for years. Between keto, the rower and easy exercises i cant wait to see the next couple months. I was losing consistently without any additional exercise this should make it even easier. While also getting stronger and fitter too. So pumped. Going riding today too.

Apparently everyone in this thread that challenges Jabroni’s claim are the amateur hacks who don’t know much.

I feel and look the best I have in 20 years. Just the facts of what works for me.

There are many pathways that work for people but the OCD OP will deny this to his grave lmao.
Do you eat tofu?

If so...many animals are slaughtered to protect those fields.

Im personally up to 40 pushups. Every morning & night. Seems simple enough but it is getting results.

Yeah, it aint much. Not anywhere near my max either.

My goal is 100 pushups in a row. Every morning & nite. 1400 pushups per week. 73,000 pushups per year. For the rest of my life. All it takes is roughly 3 minutes per day. It gets the blood flowing, helps with testosterone production, and never lets atrophy set in.

The reason it's taken me 40 weeks to work up to this level is I've gotten very interested in a form of training that I heard about on the Rogan podcast. The premise is rather than push to your max, which requires days of rest in between, instead you slowly build up while never making yourself too sore to train the same muscle group the following day. The idea is that you actually get way more reps in over the course of time with much less wear and tear on your body and ultimately faster results over the long haul. Less injury risk by a wide margin as well.

I wouldnt say my results have been conclusive. Im just enjoying trying it out and I do like the results so far. It's hard tho to break the habits/beliefs Ive trained with my whole life. Which was to push your body to it's limits as often as possible.

Considering the emphasis these days on recovery, I think it's probably accurate to say that we were training wrong all these years.

Im still struggling to find the balance though when it comes to sports. Last year I was at the track a lot and tested this philosophy. Instead of going 2 days per week and riding all day and completely breaking my body down. I instead went every day of the week and only put in two 15 minute motos each time. The results were easy to see. The easy daily routine was way better. Skills improved rapidly. I play a lot of tennis as well. I've done the 4+ hours per day / 6 days a week thing and now Im trying to find out the (15 minute moto) equivalent. Just back things down a bit so I dont wear my body down.

Down about 45 lbs been at it about 7 months now. Have had several cheat days, even fell off for a couple weeks entirely. But for the most part its been a really easy diet to stick with.

Im not starving myself, its not alot of work, i eat so much less naturally its unreal. Ton of water, coffee and bacon lol.

I had no problem quitting processed sugar. I have never been a fan of sweets so that part was easy. My problem is bread and potatoes. So far it has not been that big of a deal. I generally cook at home so I am in control of carbs. My other problem is beer. Not giving it up. I found a low alcohol, low carb beer that works just fine. Miller 64. 2 grams of carbs per 12 oz can. Instead of having a cheeseburger on a large bun and wedge fries I eat 2 lettuce wrapped cheeseburgers with tomato, avocado and onion. Fucking good shit. Washed down with a Miller 64. Or 2. Last night I made 2 stuffed bell peppers.Recipes for this stuff are all over the place.

Snacks: Celery, hard boiled eggs, dill pickles, peanuts.

I love tuna so I have to figure out way of combining it with tomatoes and avocados without the bread. I'm sure I'll find something on line. My son is the manager of the meat dept at Sprouts so he is my meat dealer. I'm 65 and 210. I will back off and adjust at 190. It's a blood pressure issue now or I wouldn't have bothered but I'm glad I am eating better and will easily maintain 50 or less carb grams/day for as long as I want. I'm probably less than 25/day now but at some point I will slowly bring some potatoes back in and some bread. A tuna sandwich on sourdough with tomato and avocado is waiting for me at 190. THAT is motivation.

I have only been on this for a week but so far no problems.
Update: I did this for 30 days. Result? I lost 1 pound. Probably because I just took a shit, with some difficulty.
Keto a no go for me.

I lost 26 lbs pretty quick, then went to Disney and ruined that and now still eating keto with a box of sweet tarts mixed in every once and awhile. It works if you stay semi strict.

I have found over the last few years while on this Keto diet/lifestyle that when someone fails at this diet it is usually due to the dieter not getting the percentages right; IE: Fat versus Protein versus Carbs... ...or they were cheating.

When I first started I didn't have the percentages right, but I kept at it and then the weight came off and then I found myself in Ketosis (fat adapted, buring fat for energy in lieu of carbs) see pie chart below (...mmmm... ...pie... ...hahaha...)

My favorite snack is a cracker-sized slice of cheese wrapped around a slice of salami or peperoni dipped into jalapeno flavored pimento cheese... ...so good...

I'm planning to start my Keto this November so I'm looking for recipes online so I could fix my grocery list.
